What's in a King Suite?

Suites are sold by the number of pieces. A 3-piece pairs the king bed frame with two bedside tables. A 4-piece comes two ways — a tallboy suite (with a tallboy) or a dresser suite (with a dresser and mirror) — and a 5-piece includes both, which suits a master bedroom that wants maximum storage and a dressing area. Bed frames come without a mattress, so add a king mattress to suit. Want storage built in? A king bed with storage adds drawers or a gas-lift base under the bed.

King or Queen?

It comes down to the room. A king suite is the call when the master bedroom is generous — around 3.5 × 3.5 m or larger — and you want the most sleeping width two people can get in a standard size. If the room is on the tighter side, or you'd rather keep more floor clear, a queen bedroom suite is the popular default and gives the same coordinated look in a smaller footprint. Measure the room first, then size the bed to it.

Planning the Room for a King Suite

A king suite needs space to work, so measure before you order — allow for walkways on both sides of the bed, room for wardrobe and bedroom doors, and clearance for drawers to open fully. As a guide, a king bed sits comfortably in a room of about 3.5 × 3.5 m or larger once you add bedside tables and a tallboy or dresser. Then choose a finish that sets the tone: warm timber feels grounded and timeless, crisp white keeps a large room light, and contemporary dark finishes add drama in a modern master.
