Leather sofas, couches & lounges for every Queensland home

A leather lounge brings a clean, structured look to a living room and wipes down in seconds — which is exactly why it's such a practical choice for busy Queensland households. At A2Z Furniture our leather range covers the full spread: two, three and four-seaters, corner and modular configurations, and a choice of finishes from budget-friendly faux and PU leather through to genuine leather. Whatever the size of your room or your budget, there's a leather-look lounge to suit.

Looking for something specific? Browse our dedicated faux leather sofas for vegan-friendly, easy-care finishes, or explore corner and chaise lounges, two-seaters and three-seaters. Furnishing a whole room? Our sofa sets pair leather pieces into matched suites.

How to choose your leather lounge

Three things shape the right pick: the finish (genuine, faux or PU leather), the size and shape that fits your room, and the colour that suits your space. Get those right and a leather lounge will look sharp and stay easy to live with for years.

1. Genuine, faux or PU leather?

Genuine leather is real animal hide — it's breathable, develops a natural patina over the years, and sits at the premium end. Faux leather and PU leather are synthetic finishes that give you the leather look without the price tag: they're consistent in colour, wipe clean with a damp cloth, contain no animal product (so they're vegan-friendly), and are the easy-care choice for homes with kids and pets. Most of our leather-look range is faux or PU, with genuine leather available on selected models — and each product page states the exact material, so you always know precisely what you're buying. If you specifically want a synthetic finish, our faux leather sofas page focuses on that range.

2. Which size and shape?

Leather suits every configuration. A two-seater works in apartments and as a second sofa; a three-seater anchors the main living room; a four-seater or corner lounge handles bigger families and open-plan spaces; and modular designs let you build the layout around your room. Measure your wall space and the path in before you buy, and check that a fully extended chaise or corner won't block a walkway.

3. Colour and finish

Leather-look lounges hold colour beautifully. Black and brown are the hard-wearing classics that hide marks well; tan and cognac bring warmth; white and grey suit contemporary, light-filled rooms. For black specifically, see our black couches. Whichever finish you choose, the consistent colour of leather and faux leather makes it easy to match with furniture you already own.

Genuine leather or faux & PU leather — which is right for you?

Caring for your leather lounge

How you care for a leather lounge depends on the finish — and matching the routine to the material is what keeps it looking its best:

• Genuine leather — wipe with a dry or barely-damp cloth, apply a leather conditioner occasionally to stop it drying out, and keep it out of direct sunlight and away from heaters.
• Faux & PU leather — even simpler: a soft, damp cloth handles everyday marks and no conditioning is needed. Keep sharp objects and pet claws clear of the surface to protect it.
• Both finishes — deal with spills promptly, and always match any cleaning product to the material. A product made for genuine leather isn't always right for a synthetic finish, and vice versa.

Each product page lists the material, so you can follow the right care routine from day one.

Frequently asked questions

• Are A2Z's leather sofas genuine or faux leather?

Our leather range includes both. Most models are faux or PU leather — a synthetic finish that delivers the leather look at a more affordable price, wipes clean easily, and contains no animal product — with genuine leather available on selected models. Every product page states the exact material, so you always know precisely what you're buying before you order.

• What's the difference between genuine, faux and PU leather?

Genuine leather is made from real animal hide — it's breathable, develops a natural patina over time, and sits at the premium end. Faux leather and PU leather are synthetic materials designed to look like leather: they're consistent in colour, easy to wipe clean, vegan-friendly, and more budget-friendly. Genuine leather rewards a little upkeep with longevity and character; faux and PU are the low-maintenance, easy-care choice.

• Is faux or PU leather a good choice for kids and pets?

Yes — it's one of the most practical options for busy households. Faux and PU leather wipe clean with a damp cloth, don't absorb spills the way fabric can, and resist everyday marks, making them easy to keep looking fresh. Keeping sharp objects and pet claws clear of the surface helps it last.

• How do I care for a leather or faux-leather lounge?

It depends on the finish. Genuine leather likes a gentle wipe and an occasional conditioner, kept out of direct sun and away from heaters. Faux and PU leather just need a wipe with a soft, damp cloth — no conditioning required. For either, clean spills promptly and match any cleaning product to the material. Each product page lists the material so you can follow the right routine.

• What sizes and shapes do leather lounges come in?

The full range — two, three and four-seaters, corner and chaise lounges, and modular designs you can configure to your room. A two-seater suits apartments and second-sofa setups, a three-seater anchors most living rooms, and corner or modular pieces work well in larger, open-plan spaces.

• Can I see the leather range in a showroom?

Yes. Leather and faux-leather finishes are best judged in person — the look, feel and weight vary between finishes. Ask which of our five South-East Queensland showrooms in Rocklea, North Ipswich, Virginia, Bundall and Beenleigh has the ones you like on display.
