• To open — pull the lever and lean back. The footrest extends forward and the backrest tilts in one smooth motion. The whole action takes a second or two and requires very little force.
• To close — push back firmly against the backrest. The mechanism resets and the footrest folds away — no need to pull the lever again. A push of the legs helps if the recline was deep.
