6 seater sofas for Brisbane & Gold Coast homes
A 6 seater sofa is the heart of a big family home — room for everyone, and then some. Whether you have a large family or simply love entertaining, our spacious six seater sofas and lounges are built to anchor an open-plan living room. Because seating for six is so generous, almost every 6 seater couch is a corner or modular design rather than a single straight piece. Since 2013 we've helped Queensland families furnish their homes with quality 6 seater lounges — browse our full sofas & lounges range, or read on to find the right layout.
Find your layout: corner, modular & more
Every home is different, so our six-seat range spans every configuration — here's where to find each one:
Corner & L-shaped
6 seater corner lounges that maximise your floor plan in an open L-shape — like our popular Oakley corner sofa.
Modular & sectional
Reconfigurable six-seat sections you can rearrange as your room changes — delivered in pieces, assembled inside.
U-shaped
Wrap-around six-seat layouts for the ultimate conversation pit in a large living room.
Recliner sets
Six seats with recline — like the Bradley air-leather corner recliner, with optional armless chairs for a home theatre.
Fabric, PU & leather options
A 6 seater lounge is where life happens, so choose the finish that suits your household:
- Plush fabric: soft, breathable and family-friendly in neutral tones that blend into any modern Australian home — like the Spencer II fabric corner. Browse all fabric sofas.
- PU & leather: a sleek, wipe-clean finish that's perfect for households with kids and pets — like the Spencer II PU leather corner. Browse all leather sofas.

How big is a 6 seater sofa?
A 6 seater is among the largest lounges you can buy — and because most are corner, modular or U-shaped, the dimensions are measured along each side rather than as one straight length. They need a genuinely large, open room. Always check the measurements on the product page and plan your layout (and delivery access) before ordering. Here's how the 6 seater sits among the bigger sizes:
| Size | Typical footprint | Min. room | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| 5 Seater | 300–350+ cm | 4.5 m+ | Big families, entertainers |
| 6 Seater | 350+ cm (per side on corners) | 5.0 m+ | Very large open-plan living, media rooms |
| Corner / U-shaped | Wraps two or three walls | 5.0 m+ each way | Maximum seating, conversation layouts |
Allow around 90 cm for main walkways, and check the depth as well as the length — a modular option can be delivered in sections to get around tight doorways and stairs.

6 seater sofa FAQs
Are all 6 seater sofas corner or modular?
Most are. Seating for six is generous enough that a corner, modular or U-shaped layout is usually the practical way to fit it in — which also lets you shape the seating to your room. See our corner lounges for the full range of six-seat configurations.
Can I get a 6 seater recliner or with a chaise?
Yes — for recline, our recliner packages seat six or more (some with optional armless chairs for a home theatre), and corner lounges with a chaise are in our corner & chaise range.
Should I get a 5 seater or a 6 seater?
It comes down to room size. A 5 seater suits a big living room; a 6 seater needs a genuinely large, open-plan space — measure your wall lengths and allow room for walkways before deciding. If space is tight, a modular layout gives flexibility to scale the seating.
Will a 6 seater fit through my door?
A modular or sectional 6 seater is delivered in separate sections and assembled inside, which gets around tight doorways, hallways and stairs entirely — the easiest option for a large lounge. For one-piece designs, measure your access carefully first, and call us on 1300 781 990 if you're unsure.
Do you deliver 6 seater sofas across Brisbane and the Gold Coast?

Free local delivery is available on eligible items within 10 km of our Rocklea warehouse when you pay outright (not pay later), ground floor only, and free Click & Collect from Rocklea is available by appointment.
