Sofa Beds & Pull-Out Couches

Sofa beds & futons for Brisbane & Gold Coast homes

A sofa bed earns its place in any home that needs extra sleeping space without giving up floor area — apartments, guest rooms, studies and busy family homes. Our range covers everyday sofa beds, pull-out couches and chaise sofa beds in a variety of fabrics and finishes, with delivery across South-East Queensland. Whether you want a compact sofabed for a study or a larger fold out couch with storage for regular guests, you'll find a style to suit — including regular sofa bed sale offers. Shoppers search for these as sofa beds, pull-out couches, fold-out couches or futons; if you'd rather plan before you buy, our pull-out sofa bed guide covers what to look for, or browse the wider sofas & lounges range.

How our sofa beds work

Every sofa bed in our range converts the same simple way, and you sleep on the same cushioning you sit on. Turning the lounge into a bed takes two easy steps:

• Pull the base out. The lower section slides forward from under the seat. It's upholstered in the same fabric and filled with the same cushioning as the rest of the sofa, so the sleeping surface feels just like the seat you sit on.
• Lift it up to level. Raise that pulled-out section until it sits flush at seat height. The seat, the pulled-out base and the chaise then line up as one large, even and supportive sleeping surface.

The result is a generous, flat bed that's genuinely comfortable for overnight guests, with the same padding you enjoy as a lounge during the day. Because the base extends forward, just leave clear floor space in front. Many models also include a storage chaise, so quilts and pillows tuck away out of sight.

Which sofa bed suits your space?

The mechanism is the same across the range, so the choice comes down to size, layout and how much storage you want:

Sizes & styles

Sofa beds come in a range of sizes and layouts, so you can match the seating to the room and the sleeping surface to your guests:

• Chaise sofa beds — an L-shaped chaise for stretching out, often with storage in the chaise.
• Sofa beds with storage — a lift-up chaise or drawer base to hide quilts, pillows and spare bedding.
• 3-seater sofa beds — full-size seating that converts for guests.

How much space do you need?

Always measure the open bed, not just the closed sofa. Because the base pulls out and forward before it lifts to level, leave clear floor space in front of the sofa for the bed to extend. Check the walking space around it too, and that coffee tables or a TV unit won't block the extension path. If you're unsure, bring rough room measurements to a showroom and the team will help you check the fit.

Sofa bed FAQs

• How does the sofa bed convert into a bed?

It's a two-step pull-out: the lower section slides forward from under the seat, then lifts up until it's flush at seat height. The seat, the pulled-out base and the chaise line up as one large, even sleeping surface. It's upholstered in the same fabric and cushioning as the sofa, so you sleep on the same supportive surface you sit on.

• Are the sofa beds comfortable enough to sleep on regularly?

Yes. Because the bed is made from the same cushioned, upholstered base as the seat — lifted level into one flat surface — you sleep on the same padding you sit on. That makes them comfortable for overnight and regular guest use. Ask which showroom has the one you like on display.

• Do your sofa beds come with storage or a chaise?

Yes — several models include a lift-up chaise or drawer base for storing bedding. Browse sofa beds with storage for hidden-storage designs and chaise sofa beds for L-shaped layouts.

• How much space do I need to open a sofa bed?

Measure the open bed, not just the closed sofa. The base pulls out and forward before it lifts to level, so leave clear floor space in front of the sofa for the bed to extend. Check the walking space around it and that nothing blocks the extension path. Dimensions are on each product page.

• Do you deliver sofa beds, and can I see them in person?

Yes — you can compare sofa beds across our five South-East Queensland showrooms. Free local delivery is available on eligible items within 10 km of our Rocklea warehouse when you pay outright (not pay later), ground floor only, with affordable rates across the wider Brisbane, Gold Coast and South-East Queensland region; see our Free Local Delivery page for your area and the full terms. Free Click & Collect from Rocklea is available seven days a week.

• What warranty and payment options apply?

Every sofa bed is covered by our standard 12-month structural warranty unless stated otherwise on the product page — see our Warranty Policy. We accept Afterpay, Zip, Klarna, Latitude Interest Free, PayPal Pay in 4 and in-store layby.
