5 seater sofas for Brisbane & Gold Coast homes
A 5 seater sofa is the ultimate centrepiece for a big family or a home that loves to entertain — a sofa for 5 people to sprawl out comfortably, whether that's a five seater sofa set across a feature wall or a generous corner layout. A2Z Furniture stocks 5 seater couches and lounges across Brisbane and the Gold Coast, with delivery across South-East Queensland. Browse the full range of sofas & lounges to compare sizes, or read on to find the right 5 seater for your room.
Who is a 5 seater for?
- Big families who want everyone — and the dog — on one couch without the nightly game of musical chairs.
- Entertainers who regularly host friends and want seating for five or more.
- Large, open-plan living rooms where a smaller sofa would simply look lost against the space.
- Anyone planning the room around the lounge — a 5 seater anchors a big space and defines the seating zone.
Shapes & configurations
Five seats can be arranged to suit any room. Here's where to find each layout:
Corner & L-shaped
5 seater corner and L-shaped lounges that maximise corner space and seat the whole family facing in.
Modular & sectional
Reconfigurable sections you can rearrange as your room or lifestyle changes.
U-shaped
The ultimate "conversation pit" — a wraparound U-shape that seats the room facing in.
Recliner sets
A 3+2 recliner package seats five in full recline — ideal for the home theatre.
Materials that match your life
A 5 seater lounge is where life happens, so the material matters:
- Fabric: soft, breathable and family-friendly, in easy-clean weaves that handle spills and busy households. Browse all fabric sofas.
- Leather: a sophisticated, wipeable finish that suits a big, modern living room. Browse all leather sofas.

How big is a 5 seater sofa?
A 5 seater sofa is a large piece — straight five-seaters typically run from around 300 cm, and corner or U-shaped layouts extend further along each side. Dimensions vary a lot by configuration, so always check the measurements on the product page and plan your living-room layout before ordering. Here's how the 5 seater sits among the larger sizes:
| Size | Typical length | Min. room width | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| 4 Seater | 240–290 cm | 4.0 m | Growing families, open-plan rooms |
| 5 Seater | 300–350+ cm | 4.5 m+ | Big families, entertainers, large living rooms |
| 6 Seater / Corner | 350+ cm | 5.0 m+ | Very large open-plan spaces and media rooms |
Check the dimensions on each product page so your new 5 seater couch fits through the door, hallway and into the room — and allow around 90 cm for main walkways.

5 seater sofa FAQs
How many people fit on a 5 seater couch?
A 5 seater comfortably seats five adults — or fewer with plenty of room to stretch out. It's the go-to size for big families and entertainers who need seating for five or more without splitting people across separate chairs.
Can I get a 5 seater corner, modular or recliner?
Yes — corner and recliner layouts both seat five. See corner & chaise lounges and U-shaped couches, modular & sectional sofas, and recliner packages, where a 3+2 package seats five. Our sofa beds are three-seat models if you need a guest bed as well.
Will a 5 seater fit through my door?
Because a 5 seater is large, measure your doorway, hallway and staircase before ordering. If access is tight, a modular or sectional option is delivered in separate sections and assembled inside, which avoids doorway problems entirely. If in doubt, call us on 1300 781 990 and we'll help you work it out.
Do you deliver 5 seater sofas across Brisbane and the Gold Coast?
Yes — we deliver across Brisbane, the Gold Coast, Ipswich, Sunshine Coast, Toowoomba and surrounding areas, calculated at checkout. Free local delivery is available on eligible items within 10 km of our Rocklea warehouse when you pay outright (not pay later), ground floor only, and free Click & Collect from Rocklea is available by appointment.
