Curved Sofas

Why choose a curved sofa?

A curved sofa — sometimes called a round sofa, circular sofa or round settee — brings a softer, more sociable feel to a living room than a straight-edged couch. The gentle curve wraps seating around a shared space, so everyone faces in toward the conversation rather than sitting in a line. It's a look that feels both relaxed and refined, and it's why a curved couch so often becomes the centrepiece of the room.

• More sociable seating. The curve draws people together for movie nights and gatherings, fostering connection and intimacy.
• A natural focal point. A round or curved sofa adds a sculptural, designer feel that a boxy lounge can't match.
• Softens angular rooms. The flowing line breaks up hard corners and squared-off layouts.
• Defines open-plan zones. A curved lounge marks out the living area without walling it off from the dining or kitchen space.

Where a curved sofa works best

The flowing design of a curved couch makes it a great fit for open-plan homes, where it defines the living area while keeping a smooth flow between your living, dining and entertaining spaces. Larger curved and circular sofas suit spacious family rooms and make a striking statement, while a smaller half-moon or semi-circle sofa can open up a compact living room by offering wrap-around seating without the bulk of a squared-off suite. Curved designs also sit beautifully against a bay window or a rounded wall, following the line of the room.

Materials — genuine leather, air leather & fabric

Our curved sofas come in a choice of upholstery, so you can match the look to your room and lifestyle:

• Genuine leather. A premium, natural finish that ages beautifully and feels luxurious — ideal if you want a curved leather sofa as a long-term statement piece.
• Air leather. The look of leather with better breathability — a practical, easy-wipe choice that suits Brisbane and Gold Coast's warm climate.
• Fabric. Soft, breathable and available in a wide colour range — warm and relaxed, and comfortable year-round in QLD.

How to choose & measure

Because a curved sofa projects further into the room than a straight one, it pays to plan the space before you buy. Measure the wall lengths and the usable floor area — not just the room size — and allow comfortable walkways around the curve. Think about where the sofa sits in relation to the TV, windows and traffic flow, and leave the room feeling open rather than filling every centimetre. As with any large lounge, check your doorways, hallways, stair access and lifts against the packed dimensions on the product page before delivery. If you'd like a hand, our team can help you find a shape and size that's balanced in your space.

Curved sofa FAQs

• What is a curved sofa?

A curved sofa — also called a round, circular or curved couch — has a gently curving seat line instead of straight edges. The shape wraps seating around a shared space, which feels more sociable and adds a sculptural focal point to the room.

• Do curved sofas work in smaller living rooms?

They can. A compact semi-circle or half-moon curved sofa gives wrap-around seating without the bulk of a squared-off suite, which can actually open up a smaller room. Larger round and circular sofas suit more spacious family rooms — measure your space first, as a curve projects further into the room than a straight sofa.

• What materials do your curved sofas come in?

Curved sofas are available in genuine leather, air leather and fabric. Genuine leather is a premium natural finish; air leather offers the leather look with better breathability; and fabric is soft, breathable and offered in a wide colour range — all well suited to the QLD climate.

• Can I get a curved modular or curved corner sofa?

Yes. Curved designs come as continuous round sofas, compact half-moon shapes, curved corner lounges and curved modular formats you can configure to your room. For more wrap-around layouts, also compare our U shaped couches.

• Where do curved sofas work best?

They're a great fit for open-plan homes, where they define the living zone without walling it off, and they sit beautifully against a bay window or rounded wall. Larger curved sofas make a statement in spacious rooms, while semi-circle designs suit compact spaces.
