Console & hall tables for every entryway in Brisbane & the Gold Coast

A console table earns its place by doing a lot in a little space. Slim enough to sit in a narrow hallway, behind a sofa or along a bare wall, it gives you a surface to style and — on many designs — drawers or a shelf to hide keys, mail and chargers. Our range covers the full spread of looks: Hamptons, coastal, modern farmhouse, glam and contemporary, in solid acacia timber, marble-look and glass tops, and metal or timber-look finishes. You'll find everything from a simple drawer console to a complete console-and-mirror set, at a range of price points to suit most budgets.

Because we import directly and hold our own stock at our Rocklea warehouse, you get current designs at fair prices with fast local delivery across South-East Queensland — and five showrooms where you can see the finish, drawers and proportions in person before you buy.

Console table or hall table — what's the difference?

It's the question we get most, and the short answer is: not much. A hall table and a console table are usually the same piece of furniture — a long, slim table designed to sit against a wall rather than in the middle of a room. "Hall table" simply describes where it's often used, while "console table" is the broader furniture term. On this page you'll find both, so you don't need to shop them separately.

What matters more than the name is where it will live. A console works beautifully in an entryway as a landing spot for keys and bags, behind a sofa to anchor an open-plan lounge, along a hallway or blank wall that needs purpose, or even in a bedroom as a compact dressing table or in a home office as a slim desk. Because the footprint is narrow, it adds function and style without eating into your floor space.

How to choose the right console table

Three decisions get you to the right table: getting the size right for your space, deciding how much storage you need, and picking a material and style that suits the room.

1. Size — measure before you buy

In a hallway, measure the wall length and leave comfortable walking space in front — a slim, open-based design keeps a tight entry feeling light. Behind a sofa, look for a table close to the same height as the sofa back and a touch shorter than its length. As a rule, leave a little breathing room at each end rather than filling the wall corner to corner. Every product page lists exact dimensions, so you can check the fit before you order.

2. Storage — drawers, shelf or open

If your entry tends to collect keys, mail and chargers, a console table with drawers keeps the surface clear and the clutter out of sight. An open lower shelf is great for baskets, books or a pair of shoes, while a clean open design suits a styling-first look where the table is mostly for display. Many of our consoles combine a drawer and a shelf, so you get both.

3. Material & style — match your room

Our solid acacia timber consoles bring warmth and natural grain — ideal for coastal, Hamptons and farmhouse interiors. Marble-look and glass tops on slim metal bases lean modern and contemporary, keeping a narrow space feeling open. For a glamorous entry, a console-and-mirror set pairs a reflective top with a matching wall mirror for instant impact. There's no wrong answer — it comes down to the look you want and the other pieces already in the room.

Materials and keeping your console table looking its best

The right care depends on the finish, but a few simple habits keep any console or hall table looking new for longer:

  • Solid timber & wood-look — dust regularly and wipe spills promptly with a barely-damp cloth; avoid soaking the surface. Acacia develops a natural patina over time, and coasters under drinks prevent rings.
  • Glass — wipe with glass cleaner or a damp microfibre cloth, then buff dry to remove streaks and fingerprints. Tempered glass is tough, but coasters keep it flawless.
  • Marble-look & stone-effect tops — wipe with a soft damp cloth and mild soap; avoid acidic cleaners. Our stone-look tops are engineered rather than natural marble, so they're lower-maintenance, but coasters still help.
  • Metal & stainless bases — wipe with a damp cloth and dry off to avoid water marks; skip abrasive scourers that can dull the finish.

Console & hall tables — frequently asked questions

  • What's the difference between a console table and a hall table?

They're usually the same piece of furniture — a long, slim table designed to sit against a wall. "Hall table" describes where it's often used, while "console table" is the broader furniture term. On this page you can shop both together, in styles that suit hallways, entries, living rooms and more.

  • Where can I use a console table besides a hallway?

A console table is one of the most flexible pieces you can own. Use it behind a sofa to anchor an open-plan lounge, along a blank living-room wall as a display surface, in a bedroom as a compact dressing table, or in a home office as a slim desk. Its narrow footprint means it adds function without crowding the floor.

  • What size console table should I get for my hallway or entry?

Measure your wall length and leave comfortable walking space in front — a slim, open-based design keeps a tight entry feeling light. Leave a little breathing room at each end rather than filling the wall corner to corner. Every product page lists exact width, depth and height, so you can check the fit before ordering.

  • What materials do your console and hall tables come in?

Our range includes solid acacia timber, marble-look and tempered glass tops, and metal or stainless-steel bases. Timber adds warmth and suits coastal and farmhouse looks; glass and marble-look tops on slim metal bases lean modern. Browse our wooden consoles or mirror sets to compare finishes.

  • Can I see the console tables in person before buying?

Yes — we have five showrooms across South-East Queensland: Rocklea, Virginia, Beenleigh, Bundall and North Ipswich. You can check the size, finish and drawer action up close before deciding, or order online with fast local delivery across Brisbane and the Gold Coast. Find addresses and opening hours.

  • Do you offer finance or buy now, pay later?

Yes. We offer Afterpay, Zip, Humm and Latitude Interest Free, plus a Layby option on selected products, so you can spread the cost of your console table. Delivery is available across Brisbane, the Gold Coast and wider South-East Queensland, with free pickup from our Rocklea warehouse.
