FAQ's
It's all about height! Bar stools are taller, usually designed to reach benches or counters around 90cm to 100cm high. Kitchen stools are shorter, meant for standard kitchen benches around 60cm to 75cm high.
For best comfort, your knees should be slightly bent when you sit on the stool. So, measure the height of your bench or counter and choose a stool that lets you achieve this. Here's a quick guide:
- Standard Bench (60cm - 75cm):Â Kitchen stool around 45cm to 60cm high.
- Bar Height Bench (90cm - 100cm):Â Bar stool around 65cm to 80cm high.
It depends! Backrests offer extra comfort, especially for longer sitting. But backless stools can be great for tucking under benches for space-saving. Consider how you'll use the stools and how much back support you need.
- Timber:Â Classic and stylish, but needs a bit more care.
- Upholstered:Â Comfy and colourful, but might require vacuuming for crumbs.
- Metal:Â Easy to clean and durable, comes in various styles.
- Plastic:Â Affordable and lightweight, may not be as sturdy.
