The service covers assembly of the product only. Removal and disposal of packaging materials is not included.
The A2Z Furniture Pty Ltd and its staff accept no liability for any accidental damage to the customer’s property that may occur while bringing goods inside or during assembly.
It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure the pathway for delivering the goods is clear and unobstructed. Additional charges may apply if extra work is required to clear access.
To assess whether the assembly can be carried out safely and efficiently, The A2Z Furniture may request further information about the property, including photos or video of the layout.
If the product cannot be delivered to the intended room due to insufficient space, the delivery and assembly charges are non-refundable.
The A2Z Furniture reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to decline or cancel the assembly service. Where this occurs, any assembly fee already paid will be refunded in full.

Sturdy, fixed-height counter seating
The Cardiff is the one stool in our range without a gas lift — a solid 4-leg steel frame set permanently at 65 cm, built for a standard kitchen counter rather than a taller bar. Upholstered in a hard-wearing technology fabric on a matte black frame with an H-stretcher for extra rigidity, it's a no-fuss stool for a bench you're not planning to change the height of. Available in orange or grey, priced per set — note the two colours are priced differently.
Fixed 65 cm Height
No gas lift, no lever, no adjustment — the Cardiff is built at a single counter height. That means one less moving part to service over the years, at the cost of the flexibility a gas-lift stool offers.
4-Leg Steel Frame
Four angled tubular steel legs with an H-stretcher near the base give the Cardiff real rigidity — nothing to wobble the way a single-column pedestal can over time.
Technology Fabric
A tightly woven performance fabric that's more forgiving of everyday marks than a smooth surface — a practical choice for a stool that lives at a busy kitchen bench.

Bench & bar fit
Counter height only — will it fit your bench?
Unlike every other stool in our range, the Cardiff doesn't adjust — it's fixed at 65 cm. That makes it a straightforward fit for a standard kitchen bench, but the wrong choice for a taller bar table. Here's the rule that applies to any stool, and how Cardiff sits against it.
- A standard kitchen bench (87–91 cm): yes. At a fixed 65 cm seat, the Cardiff sits right in the middle of the ideal 60–66 cm band for a standard bench — no adjustment needed.
- A bar table or raised island (101–106 cm): no. Because there's no gas lift, a 65 cm stool at a 105 cm bar would leave your knees well above the underside of the bench — genuinely uncomfortable, not just a style mismatch. Choose an adjustable stool from our range instead if you need bar height.
- Measure your bench underside before you order. If it's not a standard 87–91 cm, the Cardiff's fixed height won't adapt the way a gas-lift stool would.
- Allow about 60 cm of bench per stool. A 120 cm bench takes two, 180 cm takes three, 240 cm takes four.

No gas lift, by design
Every other stool in our range adjusts on a gas-lift column. The Cardiff doesn't — it's built on a rigid 4-leg frame at a single fixed height. That's a deliberate trade: no cylinder to eventually wear out, no swivel, but also no flexibility if your bench height changes.

Caring for your stools
Blot spills early
Blot straight away with a clean dry cloth rather than rubbing them in.
Vacuum occasionally
A soft brush attachment lifts dust and crumbs out of the weave.
Check the leg fittings
Nip the frame bolts up after a few weeks of use, then every so often — the H-stretcher does most of the work, but a fixed frame still settles in.
Keep out of direct sun
Strong sunlight fades fabric over time.

The Cardiff Bar Stool is a fixed-height counter stool sold as a set of two, and the only stool in our range without a gas lift. A rigid 4-leg tubular steel frame with an H-stretcher holds the seat at a permanent 65 cm — no lever, no adjustment, no swivel. The seat measures 46 cm wide by 35 cm deep with a 32 cm backrest, upholstered in a hard-wearing technology fabric in orange or grey, both on a matte black frame.
Because it doesn't adjust, the Cardiff suits a standard 87–91 cm kitchen bench — its fixed 65 cm seat sits right in the ideal 60–66 cm band — but it is not suitable for a 101–106 cm bar table, where the seat height would leave too little knee clearance. Allow about 60 cm of bench width per stool, so a 120 cm bench seats two, 180 cm seats three, 240 cm seats four.
