To assess whether the assembly can be carried out safely and efficiently, The A2Z Furniture may request further information about the property, including photos or video of the layout.
If the product cannot be delivered to the intended room due to insufficient space, the delivery and assembly charges are non-refundable.
The A2Z Furniture reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to decline or cancel the assembly service. Where this occurs, any assembly fee already paid will be refunded in full.
Overview
The simple one โ and the one that drops lowest
The Clontarf is our entry office chair, and we'd rather be straight about what that means. It does two things: the seat goes up and down on a gas lift, and it swivels. There's no recline, no headrest, no tension dial. What it has instead is the lowest seat we stock โ 43 cm โ which makes it the one to buy if you're on the shorter side, if it's for a child's study desk, or if every other chair leaves your feet dangling. It's also the most compact at 90โ102 cm tall, the cheapest at $125, and its armrests sit lower than any other chair we sell, so it slides under desks the others struggle with.
Drops to a 43 cm Seat
The lowest seat in our office range, and the reason this chair exists. At 43 cm most adults from around 160 cm can sit with their feet flat on the floor โ the single thing budget office chairs most often get wrong, and it's why we point shorter buyers here from every other chair's page.
Padded Mid-Back
A cushioned backrest with channel stitching, padded rather than stretched over a frame. It's a mid-back design โ it supports the spine up to about shoulder-blade height and stops there, which is what keeps the chair compact.
Loop Armrests, 60 cm Off the Floor
Curved loop-style arms give your forearms somewhere to rest, and at 60 cm from the floor at the lowest seat setting they're the lowest of any chair we stock โ so this is the one that fits under a desk with a deep apron or a keyboard tray.
Gas Lift & 360ยฐ Swivel
A one-touch gas lift sets the seat anywhere from 43 to 55 cm, and the black five-star castor base swivels a full 360ยฐ and rolls across hard floors and low-pile rugs.

- This is the one for shorter users. At 43 cm the seat drops 2 cm below the Cloud and 4 cm below the Casino, which suits most adults from around 160 cm tall. If other office chairs have left your feet dangling or your thighs pressed against the seat edge, this is the one to try first.
- Check your desk height. Measure floor to desktop. At 43 cm you get 29 cm of clearance under a 72 cm desk and 32 cm under a 75 cm one โ at or just above the recommended 25โ30 cm band, so knee room is never the problem with this chair. It rises to 55 cm for a taller work surface.
- It fits under desks the others won't. The armrests sit 60 cm off the floor at the lowest setting โ 5 to 10 cm lower than the rest of our range. If you've had a chair that wouldn't tuck under because the arms fouled the desk, this solves it. Do note the arms are fixed and don't flip up, so measure the underside of your desk rather than relying on a fallback.
- Compact all round. 61 cm wide, 60 cm deep and only 90โ102 cm tall โ the smallest chair we stock and the least visually heavy, which matters when the desk is in a bedroom or a corner of the living room. Allow around 60 cm of clear floor behind the desk edge.

Technology fabric is a tight-woven upholstery chosen for everyday durability โ it wears better than a loose weave and resists pilling. It is not a stain-resistant or waterproof finish, and we don't claim it is: blot spills promptly and keep it out of harsh direct sun. Colours on screen are approximate; we recommend seeing the finish in a showroom before you buy.
Caring for your chair
Vacuum weekly
Run the upholstery brush over the fabric every week or so. It lifts dust out of the weave before it works its way in and dulls the colour.
Blot spills straight away
Blot with a dry cloth the moment something goes on it โ rubbing pushes the spill into the weave instead of lifting it out.
Skip harsh cleaners
No bleach, solvents or abrasive scourers. They break down the fibres and can leave a permanent pale patch.
Snug the bolts twice a year
Every wheeled chair loosens a little with daily use. A twice-yearly once-over with the supplied key keeps the base tight and quiet.
