The Homestead 7 Piece Dining Set is the 190 cm solid acacia Homestead table with six matching Homestead chairs — one table, six seats, one purchase. Both pieces are solid acacia: the table wears a distressed, weathered driftwood finish over a soft white painted base, and the chairs repeat that white painted frame with a padded soft grey fabric seat and a three-slat ladder back. The pieces weren't photographed together and called a set — they're built to the same finish and they measure up: a 78 cm table over a 45 cm seat gives 33 cm of knee room, which is above the recommended band. It arrives in seven cartons, and only the table needs building.
Measured To Match
The table stands 78 cm; the chair seat sits at 45 cm. That leaves 33 cm of knee clearance, comfortably above the 25–30 cm most people find comfortable. It's arithmetic, not a styling guess — and it's the number almost nobody publishes.

Table top, table base and chair frames are all solid acacia — a genuine hardwood, not MDF or veneer. Buying the pieces together means they come from the same finish run, so the whites and the timber tones agree rather than nearly agreeing.

Most retailers don't publish chair seat height at all, so this is a check you generally can't make. Here it's already done.
- Leave 90 cm clear on every side. That's the Australian standard for pulling a chair out and walking behind it. Add 180 cm to each of the table's dimensions and you get the minimum room: about 3.7 m × 2.8 m. If the set sits near a kitchen walkway, aim for 105–120 cm of clearance instead — roughly 4.0 m × 3.1 m of room.
- The chairs tuck, the backs stand clear. Each chair is 50 cm wide and 45 cm deep, so six sit along the table without crowding at the 60 cm-per-person spacing. The seats slide under the top; the 96 cm ladder backs stand above it, so measure your walkway to the chair backs rather than to the table edge.
- Measure the doorway, not just the room. Everything ships flat or boxed — the table in one 195 × 105 × 25 cm carton, each chair in a 48 × 57 × 97 cm box — so getting it in is easy. Once built the table is 190 cm long and won't turn a tight corner, so build it in the room it's staying in.

Acacia is a natural material — each piece shows slight differences in grain pattern and tone, which is part of its character rather than a defect. Buying the table and chairs together as a set means they come from the same finish run, so the whites match and the timber tones sit together. The same solid acacia, white base and driftwood finish run across the whole Homestead range, so pieces bought later still match.
Caring for your set
Use placemats & coasters
Hot plates, hot pans and wet glasses are what mark a timber dining top. Placemats, coasters and a trivet under anything straight off the stove will do more for this table than any polish.
Wipe the timber top
A soft, dry or barely damp microfibre cloth after meals is enough. Don't let spills sit — wipe them up rather than leaving liquid to soak into the grain.
Vacuum the chair seats
The grey fabric seats are best kept with a regular vacuum on the upholstery head. Blot spills straight away with a clean dry cloth — press, don't rub, and work from the outside in so you don't spread the mark.
Clean the painted timber
A slightly damp cloth handles the white painted base and chair frames; for scuffs, a little mild soap on a damp cloth. Skip abrasive scourers and harsh chemicals.
Keep out of direct sun
Strong direct sunlight fades timber finishes, yellows white paint and lightens fabric over time. Place away from harsh sun, or close curtains during the brightest hours.
Check the chair fittings
Chair joints loosen with everyday use — every few months, give the legs and stretchers a gentle check and hand-tighten anything that has worked loose. It's the single best thing you can do for a dining chair's lifespan.

Collect free from our Rocklea distribution warehouse by appointment. Plan for seven cartons — one long flat table box at 195 × 105 × 25 cm plus six chair boxes at 48 × 57 × 97 cm.
