As with any freestanding bedroom furniture, we recommend securing tall or top-heavy pieces to the wall, particularly in homes with young children. Anti-tip wall-anchoring brackets are widely available from hardware stores and are a simple, worthwhile precaution alongside any bedside table.

Wipe with a soft, dry cloth; a soft brush helps clear dust from the carved recesses.
Avoid wet cloths
Skip soaking-wet cloths and harsh cleaners; a barely-damp cloth, dried straight after, is far kinder to the finish.

Stand cups, glasses and lamps on coasters or mats to guard the top against rings and heat marks.
