Here are the Australian rules of thumb, and an honest note on where this particular chair sits.
- Measure your table height first. Australian dining tables almost all run 74–76 cm from floor to tabletop, with the full range sitting between 71 and 78 cm. That's the number every other check hangs off, so measure it before you order anything.

Our supplier specification lists the chair material as acacia wood. An older version of this listing described it as pine; that wording wasn't supported by the specification and has been removed. Acacia is a natural material, so grain and tone vary piece to piece, and screen colour is only ever approximate — we recommend seeing it in a showroom before you buy.
Caring for your chairs
Wipe with a damp cloth
A soft damp cloth followed by a dry one is all a timber seat needs. Skip soaking, harsh solvents and abrasive scourers — water sitting on timber is what lifts a finish, not the wiping.
Mop spills straight away
Timber and standing liquid don't mix. Blot spills as they happen rather than letting them sit, and dry the spot afterwards so no moisture works into the grain.
Snug the fixings twice a year
Every dining chair loosens a little with daily use. A twice-yearly once-over of the leg and stretcher fixings keeps the frame tight and silent.
Keep out of direct sun
Strong direct sunlight fades and dries natural timber over time. Position away from harsh afternoon sun, or close the curtains through the brightest hours.
