A larger screen can still work if its feet or pedestal sit fully within the 222 × 50 cm top — measure the distance between your television’s feet before ordering, as this varies a lot between brands. Caring for your solid-timber TV unit
Dust the timber top
Wipe the natural acacia top with a soft, dry microfibre cloth weekly, in the direction of the grain. For occasional deeper cleaning, a barely damp cloth works well — dry immediately after.
Wipe the painted body
Wipe the off-white painted body with a soft, slightly damp cloth as needed. For marks or scuffs, a small amount of mild soap on a damp cloth usually does the job.
Use coasters and mats
Use coasters under cups and felt pads under heavier items on the timber top, since solid timber can mark from heat and water rings.
Keep out of direct sun
Direct sunlight over time can fade timber finishes and yellow the off-white paint — position the unit away from windows that get strong direct sun where you can.
