Overview
Hamptons dining, 1.9 metres of it
The Jericho Dining Table is a Hamptons-style dining table built from solid acacia wood — a genuine hardwood, not board or veneer. The top is left in a natural acacia finish with the grain on show, set over an off-white painted base, giving the two-tone coastal look that runs right through the Jericho range. At 190 cm long and 90 cm wide it seats six comfortably down the sides, or eight with the ends in use — which is exactly how the Jericho 9 Piece Set is put together. It arrives flat-packed and takes an electric drill to build, or add assembly at checkout and we'll do it for you.
Solid Acacia Wood
Top and base are both solid acacia — a hardwood with rich natural grain and serious longevity. Heavier and more durable than MDF or veneer, and it stands up to the knocks a family dining table collects. Each piece varies slightly in grain and tone; that's the material, not a flaw.
Two-Tone Hamptons Finish
A natural acacia top over an off-white painted base — the classic Hamptons contrast. It's the same finish story as the Jericho console, coffee table and TV unit, so pieces bought at different times still read as one range.
Corner Legs, No Pedestal
Legs at the corners rather than a centre pedestal means chairs pull straight out along both long sides, and the two ends stay usable when you need to seat eight.
1.9 m of Table
Long enough for three settings a side at the Australian standard of 60 cm per person, with 90 cm of width leaving a clear centre run for platters, boards and candles rather than a bare strip between placemats.
Seats & space
How many it seats, and the room it needs
A dining table is the one piece people most often buy too big for the room. Three checks settle it — how many it really seats, how much floor it needs around it, and whether your chairs fit underneath. Here's how the Jericho's 190 × 90 × 80 cm measures up against the Australian rules of thumb.
- Allow 60 cm of table edge per person. At 190 cm long, that's three settings down each side — six in total. Adding a chair at each end takes it to eight, which is how the Jericho 9 Piece Set is configured. Six is the everyday number; eight works for a full table at Christmas.
- Leave 90 cm clear on every side. That's the Australian standard for pulling a chair out and walking behind it. Add 180 cm to each of the table's dimensions and you get the minimum room: about 3.7 m × 2.7 m. If the table sits near a kitchen walkway, aim for 105–120 cm of clearance instead — roughly 4.0 m × 3.0 m of room.
- Check your chair seat height — this one is tall. The Jericho's top sits at 80 cm, above the usual 71–76 cm. A dining chair with a 45–48 cm seat height still gives comfortable knee room, but low or heavily padded seats will feel cramped. The matching Jericho Dining Chair is made to pair with this table.
- Measure the doorway, not just the room. It ships flat-packed, so getting it in is straightforward — but once built it's 190 cm long and won't turn a tight corner. Build it in the room it's staying in.
Not sure it fits? Mark out 190 × 90 cm on your floor with masking tape and sit a chair at it before you order. Or call our showroom team on 07 3161 5415 — we'll talk it through against your room measurements, and you can see the table set up in our showrooms.

Styling
Chairs, and what goes on top
The straightforward route is the matching Jericho Dining Chair — six of them, same range, same finish — or the Jericho 7 Piece Set (this table with six chairs) or the 9 Piece Set (with eight). If you'd rather mix, the natural-and-off-white palette is built for coastal Hamptons rooms: rattan or bentwood chairs lean relaxed, black metal chairs give it a sharper modern edge, and slipcovered linen chairs take it formal. Keep the centre clear with one long runner, a low bowl or a pair of hurricane lanterns — 90 cm of width leaves room for a real centrepiece without crowding the plates.

Acacia is a natural material — each piece shows slight differences in grain pattern and tone, which is part of its character rather than a defect. The same solid acacia with a natural top and off-white base runs across the whole Jericho range, so pieces bought at different times still match.
Caring for your table
Use placemats & coasters
Hot plates, hot pans and wet glasses are what mark a timber dining top. Placemats, coasters and a trivet under anything straight off the stove will do more for this table than any polish.
Wipe the acacia top
A soft, dry or barely damp microfibre cloth after meals is enough. Don't let spills sit — wipe them up rather than leaving liquid to soak into the grain.
Clean the off-white base
A slightly damp cloth handles the painted base; for scuffs, a little mild soap on a damp cloth. Skip abrasive scourers and harsh chemicals, which dull painted finishes.
Keep out of direct sun
Strong direct sunlight fades timber finishes and yellows white paint over time. Place away from harsh sun, or close curtains during the brightest hours.
What's in the box
Flat-packed, drill required
The Jericho Dining Table ships flat-packed — the top with the legs and fittings packed alongside. Assembly is straightforward but it does need an electric drill; a screwdriver alone won't do it. If you'd rather not, add assembly to your order above and our team will build it in your home on delivery.

- Jericho Dining Table — table top, legs, fittings
- Assembly
- Required — electric drill needed (assembly add-on available)
- Chairs
- Not included — sold separately, or buy the 7 or 9 Piece Set
The price is for the dining table alone — chairs and styling props are not included. Images are for illustration only; the actual product might be slightly different. We highly recommend you visit the store before the purchase.
Delivery & pickup
Two ways to get it home
Delivery cost is calculated by item and distance — enter your details in the estimator above, or at checkout. Delivery is to ground level / front garage only. The table travels flat-packed, so doorways and stairs are rarely a problem; add assembly above if you'd like it built in the room on delivery.
Collect free from our Rocklea distribution warehouse by appointment. The cartons are flat but long, so bring a vehicle that can take a 1.9 m table packed down — a ute, van or trailer, or a wagon with the seats folded. Bring your order confirmation and photo ID. For full terms, see our Pickup & Delivery Terms.
Change-of-mind returns are accepted under our Return Policy; full conditions apply.

FAQ
Common questions
Six comfortably, or eight with the ends in use. At 190 cm long you get three settings down each side at the Australian standard of 60 cm of table edge per person; adding a chair at each end takes it to eight, which is how the Jericho 9 Piece Set is configured. Treat six as the everyday number and eight as the full-house number.
About 3.7 m × 2.7 m as a minimum. The rule is 90 cm of clear space on every side so chairs can be pulled out and people can walk past — add 180 cm to each of the table's dimensions (190 × 90 cm) and that's your floor. If the table sits near a kitchen walkway, allow 105–120 cm of clearance instead, or roughly 4.0 m × 3.0 m.
Yes — both the top and the base are solid acacia, a genuine hardwood, not MDF, particle board or veneer. The top is left in a natural acacia finish so the grain shows, and the base is painted off-white. Because it's a natural timber, grain and tone vary slightly piece to piece.
Yes. It arrives flat-packed and needs an electric drill to build — a screwdriver on its own isn't enough. If you'd rather not, add table assembly to your order and our team will build it in your home on delivery.
Check the seat height first — this table is tall. The top sits at 80 cm, above the usual 71–76 cm. Chairs with a seat height of about 45–48 cm give comfortable knee room; very low seats or thickly padded ones will feel tight. The matching Jericho Dining Chair is made to pair with this table. If your chairs have arms and you need the exact underside clearance, call us on 07 3161 5415 and we'll measure a floor piece.
No — the price is for the table alone. The matching Jericho Dining Chair is sold separately, or you can buy the Jericho 7 Piece Dining Set (this table with six chairs) or the 9 Piece Dining Set (with eight).
Yes — the Jericho range also includes the matching Dining Chair, 7 and 9 Piece Dining Sets, Console Table, Coffee Table and TV Unit, all in the same solid acacia with a natural top and off-white base. See "Complete the look" above.
