Solid Acacia Wood
A dense tropical hardwood with natural grain variation, visible knots and a warm light-brown tone — every piece slightly different, rather than the uniform look of MDF or veneer. The surface can be refreshed with timber polish or wax over the years.

Buffets and consoles live in walkways, so fit matters more than it does for most furniture. Four quick checks before you buy — and how the Jayden's buffet format handles them.
- Keep 90 cm of clear walkway. Measure the room's traffic path and subtract the buffet's depth — you want at least 90 cm of clear passage left, including chair pull-out space in a dining room.
- The front-door test. In an entry, open the door fully and mark where the handle's swing arc ends — the buffet should start beyond that point.
- Two-thirds of the wall. A buffet looks right at about two-thirds to three-quarters of its wall span, with 20–30 cm of breathing room at each end.
- Behind a sofa, match the back. Used as a console, the top should sit level with or slightly below the sofa's backrest.

Acacia is dense, durable and ages well — the surface can be refreshed periodically with a soft timber polish or wax to bring back the depth of the grain. The same solid-timber-and-metal language runs across the whole Jayden range, from dining room to living room to bedroom.
Caring for your buffet
Dust regularly
Wipe the top, drawer fronts, cabinet doors and brackets weekly with a soft, dry microfibre cloth to lift dust before it settles into the grain.
Wipe spills promptly
Solid timber marks from water rings if liquid sits — wipe spills straight away with a slightly damp cloth, then dry immediately.
Trivets when serving
Trivets or heat-resistant mats under hot platters and dishes — direct heat can leave permanent marks on solid timber.
Keep out of direct sun
UV exposure can shift acacia's colour significantly — position away from prolonged direct sunlight so the timber doesn't fade or dry unevenly.
