A dining chair is bought blind more often than any other seat — most stores don't even tell you the seat height. Two checks settle it: whether the seat height suits your table, and how many chairs your table can actually take. Here's how the Glamour's 46 × 58 cm footprint and 48 cm seat measure up against the Australian rules of thumb.
- Check your table height first. Measure floor to tabletop. The rule is 25–30 cm between the seat and the table's underside for knee room. At 48 cm the Glamour's seat sits right at the top of the recommended 43–48 cm band — it works best under standard 74–76 cm Australian dining tables. If your table is on the lower side (below 74 cm), the fit will feel snugger than a lower-seated chair, so it's worth measuring before you order.
- Count 60 cm of table edge per chair. At 46 cm wide the Glamour fits the standard spacing: a 110–120 cm table takes four, a 150 cm table takes four to six, and a 180–200 cm table seats six, or eight with the ends in use. Buying for a six-seater? You need six chairs — set the quantity above.
- No arms to catch the apron. The Glamour is armless, so it slides fully under the table between meals — worth knowing in a dining room where every centimetre of walkway counts.
- Depth check for tight rooms. The chair is 58 cm deep, so pulled out for seating it needs roughly 90 cm of clear floor behind the table edge — the same clearance rule as the table itself. Stacking spares is a handy way to claw that floor space back between sittings.

Caring for your chairs
Vacuum the fabric
Run the upholstery brush over the seat and back weekly. Blot spills straight away with a dry cloth — rubbing pushes the spill into the weave instead of lifting it out.
Wipe the gold frame
A soft, dry or barely damp cloth keeps the gold coating looking sharp. Skip abrasive scourers and harsh chemical cleaners, which can dull or mark the finish.
Keep out of direct sun
Strong direct sunlight fades fabric over time. Position away from harsh sun, or close curtains during the brightest hours.
Stack with care
