Overview
A tailored, channelled chair in charcoal fabric
The Ritz is an armless dining chair upholstered in a fine-woven charcoal-grey fabric. The backrest curves gently around you and the front of it is stitched in narrow vertical channels, over a plain padded seat, on four slim black metal legs that splay slightly to the floor. It's sold per chair, and it's the chair in our Calvin 7 piece dining set.
Channelled Curved Back
Narrow vertical channels run down the front of a backrest that curves around you — a tailored look from the front, with a plain, smooth outer back.
Grey Fabric Upholstery
A fine-woven charcoal-grey fabric over a padded seat and back. Soft and warm to sit on, and a calm colour against white, timber or black tables.
Slim Black Legs
Four slim black metal legs taper to the floor and splay slightly for a steady stance. No stretchers, so the chair stays light-looking around the table.
1-Year Warranty
Backed by a 1-year warranty. Add assembly for $20 a chair and our team will build it on delivery.
Will it fit?
Will it fit your table — and how many do you need?
This chair's measurements are coming soon from our supplier, so rather than guess, here's what we can honestly tell you now, plus the Australian sizing rules that apply to any dining chair.
- Seat height is coming soon. We're confirming this chair's measurements with our supplier. Most Australian dining chairs put the seat at 45–48 cm, which suits a standard 71–76 cm table with 25–30 cm of knee room — the matching Calvin table is 76 cm high. Call 07 3161 5415 if the exact seat height matters.
- Count 60 cm of table edge per chair. The Calvin (160 cm) takes six Ritz chairs with one at each end. Buying for a six-seater? You need six — set the quantity above.
- No arms to catch the apron. The Ritz is armless, so it slides fully under the table between meals.
Not sure? Call our showroom team on 07 3161 5415 — we'll check the fit against your table before you order.

The Ritz is the chair for the Calvin Dining Table — six of them around the white marble-look top, with black legs that match the Calvin's angled black base. Charcoal fabric also suits timber and black tables, and the channelled back reads well in a row along a long table.

Fabric is warm and comfortable but, like any upholstery, it absorbs spills if they're left — blot them straight away. Colours on screen are approximate; we recommend seeing the chair in a showroom before you buy.
Caring for your chair
Vacuum regularly
A soft upholstery brush on the vacuum lifts crumbs and dust from the seat and the channels in the backrest.
Blot spills straight away
Blot with a clean, dry cloth — don't rub, which pushes liquid into the fabric. Spot-test any cleaner on a hidden area first.
Dry cloth on the legs
Wipe the black legs with a soft, dry cloth. Felt pads under the feet protect timber and tiled floors.
Keep out of direct sun
Strong direct sunlight fades fabric. Position away from windows that get harsh sun.
