Overview
A messmate tallboy with five spacious drawers
The Marina 5 Drawer Tallboy is a tall chest of drawers built from messmate - an Australian hardwood with a distinctive open grain - in solid timber and veneer, finished in the range's warm Smoke tone. Five full-width drawers keep clothes and everyday essentials sorted, each running on full-extension metal runners and lined in black felt. Round knobs and slim tapered legs give it a refined, mid-century-inspired profile.
Five Spacious Drawers
Five full-width drawers swallow folded clothes, linen and accessories, giving you generous bedroom storage on a modest 95 × 45 cm footprint.
Messmate Timber
Built from solid messmate and messmate veneer, an Australian hardwood whose open grain and tone shift from piece to piece.
Round Knobs & Tapered Legs
Two round metal knobs on every drawer, above slim tapered legs, give the warm timber a refined, mid-century-inspired edge.

Storage & drawers
Five full-width drawers for real bedroom storage
All five drawers run the full width of the cabinet, so folded clothes, knitwear, linen and accessories each get their own layer instead of piling into a wardrobe shelf. Full-extension metal runners let every drawer pull all the way out, and a black felt lining keeps smaller items from sliding about. The timber top adds a display surface for a lamp, a tray or framed photos.

Safety
Anchor your tallboy — it matters
Like all tall clothing-storage furniture, the Marina 5 Drawer Tallboy must be secured to the wall before use. At 120 cm high it sits well above the height at which Australia's mandatory toppling-furniture standard applies. Wall-anchoring hardware is inexpensive, widely available from hardware stores and takes only minutes to fit - and it removes the risk of the unit tipping if a child climbs or pulls on a drawer.
- ALWAYS secure this furniture to the wall with an anchor device.
- NEVER allow children to stand, climb or hang on drawers, doors or shelves.
- NEVER open more than one drawer at a time.
- Place heavy items down low.
- NEVER place a television on this furniture.
Wall-anchoring hardware is inexpensive and takes only minutes to fit. If you're unsure how to anchor the unit, our showroom team can point you to a suitable anchor kit — call 07 3161 5415.

Caring for your timber
Dust regularly
Wipe the timber with a soft, dry cloth, following the grain, to keep dust from settling into the open pores.
Avoid wet cloths
Skip soaking-wet cloths and harsh cleaners; a barely-damp cloth, dried straight after, is far kinder to the finish.
Use coasters & mats
Stand lamps, trays and drinks on coasters or mats to guard the top against rings, heat marks and scratches.
Keep it out of direct sun
Prolonged direct sunlight can shift the timber's warm honey tone unevenly — position it away from harsh all-day sun.

Full details
Marina 5 Drawer Tallboy — full product details
The Marina 5 Drawer Tallboy is a tall chest of drawers built from messmate - an Australian hardwood prized for its distinctive open grain and warm, natural character - in a combination of solid timber and veneer. It is finished in Smoke, the warm light tone shared across the Marina bedroom range, so the surface carries the genuine markings that make each piece a little different from the next.
Five full-width drawers give clothes, knitwear, linen and accessories a layer each instead of a shared wardrobe shelf. Every drawer runs on full-extension metal runners, so it pulls all the way out and nothing disappears at the back, and every drawer is lined in black felt to stop smaller items sliding around. Two round metal knobs sit on each drawer front, and slim tapered legs lift the cabinet off the floor for a refined, mid-century-inspired profile.
At 95 cm wide, 45 cm deep and 120 cm high, the Marina tallboy adds serious storage without eating floor space. Because it is tall clothing-storage furniture it must be anchored to the wall before use; see the safety section above. It is part of the Marina messmate range, so you can pair it with the matching Marina gas lift bed frame and the Marina 2 drawer bedside table. Our five showrooms are in Rocklea, Virginia, Bundall (Gold Coast), North Ipswich and Beenleigh; ask which one has the Marina range on display.
