Overview
A dual-function bed: storage on one side, a trundle on the other
The Fraser is a diamond-tufted upholstered bed built to do two jobs at once. One side of the bed holds two pull-out storage drawers along the side rail; the other side holds a pullout trundle bed that rolls out on wheels to become a second sleeping surface. Both units are mounted on wheels, so you decide at assembly which side gets the storage and which gets the trundle — the same bed works whether it's against a wall or freestanding. Available in Queen and King sizes, in Light Grey or Black upholstery.
Pullout trundle bed
Rolls out on wheels from one side of the bed to provide an additional sleeping surface — ideal for kids' sleepovers, overnight guests, or a permanent secondary bed in shared bedrooms. Takes a standard Single mattress, sold separately.
Two pull-out storage drawers
Arranged along the side rail on the opposite side from the trundle — hidden capacity for spare bedding, off-season clothing, or anything you'd rather keep out of sight.
Diamond-tufted upholstery
Both the headboard and footboard carry a diamond/lattice button-tufting pattern with metallic accent buttons at each point — a more contemporary look than standard linear tufting.
Swappable configuration
Both the drawer unit and the trundle unit are on wheels — choose at assembly which side gets which, and reconfigure later if your room layout changes.
Works with your mattress
Will it fit your mattress — and your trundle?
The Fraser needs two mattresses: one full-size mattress (Queen or King) for the main bed, and one Single mattress for the trundle — both sold separately.
Mattress not included
Sold as the frame only. Choose your size, then pair a standard Australian mattress of the same size. See mattress options →
Buy the matching size
Each frame fits a standard AU mattress of the same name — a Queen frame takes a 153 × 203 cm Queen mattress. The full size chart is in Dimensions.
Slat base, no box spring
The wooden slat base with centre support bar holds the mattress directly — no box spring or extra foundation needed. Works with foam, hybrid and spring mattresses.
Slat base & mattress support
Slat base included — suited to spring mattresses, and supports most foam and hybrid mattresses too. If you're matching a specific foam or hybrid mattress, check the slat spacing with our team before ordering, since some foam-mattress warranties require gaps under ~7.5 cm.
You'll need two mattresses: one full-size mattress to match the bed size selected above, and one Single mattress for the trundle. Mattress-in-a-Box is a practical choice for the trundle because it's compressed for easy delivery and suits a bed that's used occasionally rather than every night.

DimensionsWill it fit your room?
| Fits mattress (selected size) | 153 × 203 cm |
|---|---|
| Frame footprint (L × W) | 220 × 165 cm |
| Slat height (floor to top of slat) | 41 cm |
| Headboard height | 118 cm |
| Footboard height | 53 cm |
| Cartons (boxed, selected size) | 3 boxes — 168×115×15, 210×93×10 & 105×45×12 cm |
Total height = slat height (41 cm) + your mattress depth. Trundle mattress dimensions are not on our current spec sheet — a standard Single mattress (approx. 92×188 cm) fits; confirm exact clearance with our team on 07 3161 5415 before ordering the trundle mattress. Ships flat-packed in 3 boxes; measure your access route and check the boxes fit your vehicle for pickup. A screwdriver is needed (electric drill recommended); two people recommended for assembly. Measurements are taken by hand and can vary slightly between shipments.
📦Ships flat-packed
Cartons clear a standard ~80 cm doorway even when the assembled piece is large. Still worth measuring for the bigger sizes.
🧭Room clearance
Allow 60–75 cm around the piece to move comfortably; remember the frame footprint runs a few cm larger than the mattress.
📐Total height
Total height = base + your mattress, so a tall base plus a deep mattress can sit high — worth checking for getting in and out.
🚙Pickup vehicle
For free Rocklea pickup, a flat-pack fits most cars, but an assembled or oversized item needs a van, ute or trailer.

Care instructions
Vacuum weekly with a soft brush
Use a soft-brush vacuum attachment across the upholstered headboard, footboard and sides. Pay attention to the tufting buttons where lint and dust collect along the seams.
Blot spills, don't rub
Address spills immediately with a clean dry cloth, blotting from the outside in. Rubbing can spread the spill and affect the tufting pattern.
Roll, don't drag, the drawers & trundle
Pull the drawers and trundle out on their wheels with a steady motion. Forcing them at an angle can stress the wheel assemblies and mark the floor.
Keep out of direct sun
Sustained UV can fade upholstery fabric over time. Light Grey shows fading more visibly than Black, but both benefit from being kept out of harsh afternoon sun.

Common questions
The Fraser is available in Queen and King sizes for the main bed — Single, King Single and Double are not available. The pullout trundle is designed to take a standard Single mattress; confirm exact trundle dimensions with our team before ordering the trundle mattress.
The trundle rolls out on wheels from one side of the bed to become a second sleeping surface — slide it out, add a mattress and bedding, and it's ready. When not in use it rolls back flush against the side. It takes a standard Single mattress (approximately 92×188 cm), sold separately; Mattress-in-a-Box is a practical choice for occasional-use trundles.

Full detailsFraser Trundle Bed Frame — full product details
Most bed frames pick one job: either storage, or a second sleeping surface. The Fraser Trundle Bed Frame does both from a single footprint — two pull-out storage drawers on one side, and a pullout trundle bed on the other that rolls out on wheels when you need an extra place to sleep. For households juggling kids' sleepovers, regular guests, or shared bedrooms where space is at a premium, that combination is more useful than a plain storage bed or a plain trundle bed on their own.
Both the drawer unit and the trundle unit are mounted on wheels, and you choose which side gets which at assembly — the same bed works whether it sits against a wall or is freestanding in the middle of the room. The upholstery is a durable woven microfiber fabric with a diamond/lattice button-tufting pattern and metallic accent buttons across both the tall headboard and matching footboard — a more contemporary look than standard linear tufting. Care is straightforward: weekly vacuuming with a soft-brush attachment, prompt blotting of spills, and keeping the bed out of harsh direct sun.
Available in Queen and King only, the Fraser is built around a wooden internal frame with straight wooden slats included, and a wooden middle support bar with wooden legs. Two mattresses are required — a full-size mattress for the main bed and a Single mattress for the trundle, both sold separately. Browse our Mattress-in-a-Box, pocket spring and full mattress range. Browse more bed frames, or visit one of our five South-East Queensland showrooms in Rocklea, Sandgate, Bundall, North Ipswich and Beenleigh to see the Fraser and test the trundle mechanism in person.
