Fraser Trundle Bed Frame

The Fraser is available in Queen and King sizes (referring to the main bed). Single, King Single, and Double are not available. The pullout trundle bed is designed to take a standard Single mattress — confirm exact trundle dimensions with the showroom team before ordering the trundle mattress.

The trundle is a low-profile bed that sits underneath the main bed and rolls out on wheels from one side when you need it. To use it, slide the trundle out, place a mattress and bedding on top, and it’s ready as a secondary sleeping surface. When not in use, the trundle rolls back under the main bed and sits flush against the side. The trundle is designed for a standard Single mattress (approximately 92×188cm), though we recommend confirming exact dimensions with the showroom team or the included instruction manual before ordering the trundle mattress separately. Mattress-in-a-box is a particularly good fit because the compressed delivery makes it easy to handle, and the slimmer profile works well for a trundle that’s used occasionally rather than every night.

Yes — this is one of the Fraser’s practical design features. Both the drawer unit and the trundle unit are mounted on wheels, which means at assembly you can decide which side of the bed gets the storage and which gets the trundle. Useful because room layouts vary: in some bedrooms you’ll want the trundle on the door-facing side for easy guest access, while in others you’ll want it tucked against the wall to hide it when not in use. The configuration is set at assembly, not permanently fixed — if you need to swap them later (for example, after moving house), you can reconfigure.

The drawer side of the Fraser holds two pull-out drawers arranged along the side rail of the bed. They’re sized for items you don’t need to access daily — spare bedding, pillows, off-season clothing, blankets, towels for guests, or anything that would otherwise live in a wardrobe. Combined with the trundle on the other side, the Fraser turns one bed footprint into storage + extra sleeping capacity, which makes it particularly useful in smaller apartments and shared bedrooms where space is at a premium.

The main bed is designed for everyday use — the wooden internal frame, slats, and durable upholstery hold up to nightly sleeping just like any standard bed frame. The trundle is more variable: it works well as a regular secondary sleeping space (kids’ shared bedrooms, full-time guest accommodation) or as an occasional-use guest setup, depending on your needs. The trundle’s mattress is typically thinner than the main mattress to fit under the bed when retracted, so it’s a comfortable sleeping surface but not identical to a full-thickness master mattress.

The Fraser is wrapped in a durable woven upholstery fabric — typically a synthetic blend (most commonly polyester) in this category, which gives it good resistance to pilling, fading, and stains for everyday use. Care is straightforward: vacuum weekly with a soft-brush attachment, blot spills immediately with a clean dry cloth (working outside in), and treat with Guardsman Fabric Protector spray for ongoing everyday protection. The diamond tufting pattern collects a bit more lint and dust around the buttons than flat upholstery would — an occasional run with the vacuum nozzle through the tufted areas keeps it looking sharp.
