Black glass, gold cluster legs, proper art-deco drama
The Dynamite is the most theatrical table we sell. Black tempered safety glass sits on graduated gold-chromed cluster legs — rods that step outward as they rise, cascading rather than simply standing. The reference is unmistakably art deco, and against a dark glass top the gold does what gold is supposed to do in a dining room: catch the light every time someone moves. At 185 × 95 cm it seats six down the sides and fits a slightly tighter room than the 200 cm tables.
Graduated Gold Cluster Legs
A cascade of gold-chromed rods at each corner, stepping outward as they rise. It's the detail the whole table is built around — and the reason the Dynamite reads as a design piece rather than simply a dark table.
Black Tempered Safety Glass
Heat-treated to be several times stronger than ordinary glass, and engineered to crumble into small blunt granules rather than sharp shards in the rare event it breaks. Black glass reflects the gold legs and hides fingerprints better than clear.
185 × 95 cm — Slightly More Compact
About 15 cm shorter and 5 cm narrower than the 200 cm tables in this range. Still three settings a side, but it buys back real clearance in a room that's tight — often the difference between a table that works and one that doesn't.

Same shape, same dimensions, same price — the Douglas runs white glass on silver chrome, the Dynamite runs black glass on gold. Choose on the room, not the spec.
Seats & space
How many it seats, and the room it needs
A dining table is the one piece people most often buy too big for the room. Three checks settle it — how many it really seats, how much floor it needs, and whether your chairs fit underneath. Here's how the Dynamite's 185 × 95 × 76 cm measures up against the Australian rules of thumb.
- Allow 60 cm of table edge per person. At 185 cm long, that's 3 settings down each side — six in total. Adding a chair at each end takes it to eight. Six is the everyday number; eight works for a full table.
- Leave 90 cm clear on every side. That's the Australian standard for pulling a chair out and walking behind it. Add 180 cm to each of the table's dimensions and you get the minimum room: about 3.6 × 2.8 m. If the table sits near a kitchen walkway, aim for 105–120 cm of clearance instead — roughly 4.0 × 3.0 m.
- Check your chair seat height. The top sits at 76 cm. A dining chair with a 45–48 cm seat height gives comfortable knee room; very low or heavily padded seats will feel cramped.
- Plan the delivery path, not just the room. It ships flat-packed, so getting the cartons in is straightforward — but the glass top is heavy and once built it's 185 cm long and won't turn a tight corner. Build it in the room it's staying in.

Styling
Chairs, and what goes on top
Black and gold is a formal, high-contrast register that wants either matching drama or deliberate restraint. Black or jewel-toned velvet chairs with gold-toned legs lean into it; bone, grey or camel upholstery cools it into something more liveable. Avoid a floor-length cloth — it hides the legs, which are the whole point. On the glass, gold candlesticks and dark glassware finish the look.

Gold-chromed metal shows fingerprints but wipes clean with a soft dry cloth. Don't use ammonia-based cleaners or abrasive pads on the legs — both will dull the finish over time.
Caring for your table
Clean with glass cleaner
A microfibre cloth and a standard glass cleaner keeps the top clear. Spray the cloth rather than the glass so cleaner doesn't run into the joins with the base.
Mats under hot and heavy
Tempered glass handles daily use well, but use trivets under hot dishes and coasters under drinks — thermal shock and ground-in grit are what damage a glass top over time.
Mind the edges and corners
Tempered glass is strong across its face but vulnerable at the edges. Avoid knocking the rim with hard objects, and don't drag heavy items on and off over the edge.
Wipe the base separately
The base takes a soft, barely damp cloth — not glass cleaner. Skip abrasive scourers and harsh chemicals, which dull lacquered and metal finishes.

Delivery cost is calculated by item and distance — enter your details in the estimator above, or at checkout. Delivery is to ground level / front garage only. The table travels flat-packed, so doorways and stairs are rarely a problem; add assembly above if you'd like it built in the room on delivery.
