Sculptural Pedestal Base

The signature Deception detail expressed through the base — a sculptural white pedestal flares outward from a black wood-grain plinth at the floor, with a thin black wood-grain edge band wrapping the underside of the top. About the Materials

The Deception Dining Table is built from MDF (medium-density fibreboard), with a smooth white marble-look top, a sculptural pedestal base finished in white, and a black wood-grain plinth at the floor. MDF gives the body a stable, even structure that holds its shape over time without warping like solid timber can. The marble-look top adds a designer touch without the price (or upkeep) of real stone, and is built to handle daily meals.

Wipe the Marble-Look Top

Wipe the top with a soft, damp cloth after meals. Clean up spills quickly so they don't sit on the surface, and skip harsh chemical sprays and abrasive scourers, which can dull the finish over time.

Use Placemats & Coasters

Use placemats for everyday meals and coasters under glasses and serving dishes. This keeps the surface looking fresh and avoids scratches from grit beneath items moved across the top.

Dust the Pedestal Base

Wipe the white pedestal and black wood-grain plinth weekly with a soft, dry microfibre cloth. The white pedestal in particular shows dust and fingerprints easily, so a quick wipe-down keeps it looking fresh.

Wipe Spills Promptly

Pick Up.

You can order online and pick up for free from our Rocklea Distribution Warehouse at 48 Randolph St, Rocklea QLD 4106, but only by appointment. Call 07 3161 5415 to arrange pickup, and bring your order confirmation email and photo ID to the store.

If you paid by credit card, the cardholder must be there with photo ID to verify details.

Note that when using POLI Internet Banking, goods can be picked up or delivered only after funds are received in our Bank Account. We'll email you about this.

If someone else is picking up for you, contact us beforehand, or you won't get your goods.

Your eligible items are dispatched from our Rocklea warehouse, typically within 3 to 7 working days, depending on stock availability. Delivery is to ground level or front garage only — the driver will not bring goods inside, take them upstairs or unpack them. If you'd like assembly or in-home placement, you can add this at checkout under our Assembly Terms.

  • Available for outright payments only (No Payment Plan, Layby).
  • Only available for addresses that are less than 10 km from our Rocklea Warehouse. The distance is determined using Google Maps.
  • Delivery is strict till the garage / ground floor. The driver will not take it inside, upstairs or unpack the goods.
  • The standard delivery time frame is within 3 to 7 working days, and there might be delays depending on stock availability.
  • The delivery driver may call you from a private number before delivery; if the customer does not answer the phone, the driver will not attempt delivery unless instructed to leave goods at the property.
