Caring for your chairs
Wipe the PU after meals
A soft, slightly damp cloth is all the seat and back need. Skip harsh solvents and abrasive scourers — they dull and crack PU over time. A conditioning product such as the Guardsman ProGuard Care Kit keeps the surface protected against everyday wear.
Deal with spills straight away
PU resists liquid in the short term, but moisture left sitting will degrade the surface. Blot food and drink spills as soon as they happen with a soft damp cloth rather than letting them dry.
Dry-cloth the metal legs
Wipe the gold or silver legs with a dry, soft cloth to keep the high-shine finish crisp. Abrasive cleaners and wet cloths strip metal finishes over time.
Keep out of direct sun
Prolonged direct sunlight fades PU and can stiffen it. Position away from harsh sun, or close curtains during the brightest part of the day.
