The professional assembly service applies to ground-level rooms only. It is not available for apartments or for rooms located on an upper floor.
The service covers assembly of the product only. Removal and disposal of packaging materials is not included.
The A2Z Furniture Pty Ltd and its staff accept no liability for any accidental damage to the customer’s property that may occur while bringing goods inside or during assembly.
It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure the pathway for delivering the goods is clear and unobstructed. Additional charges may apply if extra work is required to clear access.
To assess whether the assembly can be carried out safely and efficiently, The A2Z Furniture may request further information about the property, including photos or video of the layout.
If the product cannot be delivered to the intended room due to insufficient space, the delivery and assembly charges are non-refundable.
The A2Z Furniture reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to decline or cancel the assembly service. Where this occurs, any assembly fee already paid will be refunded in full.

The Tennyson is a solid-look bed frame in a black finish, built from Acacia wood with vertical reeded/fluted grooves running the full width of both the headboard and footboard. Splayed tapered legs at each corner give it a distinctly mid-century profile — a clean, furniture-grade look rather than an upholstered one. Available in Queen and King sizes only.

Slat base, no box spring
The wooden slat base with centre support bar holds the mattress directly — no box spring or extra foundation needed. Works with foam, hybrid and spring mattresses.
Slat base & mattress support
Slat base included — suited to spring mattresses, and supports most foam and hybrid mattresses too. If you're matching a specific foam or hybrid mattress, check the slat spacing with our team before ordering, since some foam-mattress warranties require gaps under ~7.5 cm.

Footboard height isn't confirmed on our current spec sheet — contact our team on 07 3161 5415 if you need it. Ships flat-packed in 3 boxes; measure your access route and check the boxes fit your vehicle for pickup. A screwdriver is needed (electric drill recommended); two people recommended. Measurements are taken by hand and can vary slightly between shipments.

Cartons clear a standard ~80 cm doorway even when the assembled piece is large. Still worth measuring for the bigger sizes.

Allow 60–75 cm around the piece to move comfortably; remember the frame footprint runs a few cm larger than the mattress.

Total height = base + your mattress, so a tall base plus a deep mattress can sit high — worth checking for getting in and out.

For free Rocklea pickup, a flat-pack fits most cars, but an assembled or oversized item needs a van, ute or trailer.

Care instructions
Dust regularly with a dry cloth
Wipe the reeded grooves with a soft dry or slightly damp cloth to keep dust from settling in the fluted detail.
Wipe up spills right away
Blot liquid spills immediately with a dry cloth — standing moisture can dull the black finish over time.
Keep out of direct sun
Sustained direct sunlight can fade or unevenly change the tone of the black finish — position away from harsh afternoon light where possible.
Lift, don't drag
Lift the frame when repositioning rather than dragging — this protects both the finish and the tapered legs from scuffing.
