Overview
A triple sleeper that fits a shared kids room
The Neves stacks a single bunk above a roomy double, giving a shared room three sleeping spots without needing three beds' worth of floor space. Built on a solid rubberwood frame finished in grey, with classic tongue-and-groove panelled head and foot boards, a full-length guard rail and an angled, easy-grip ladder built in. Central support legs steady the double base underneath. Suits siblings sharing a room, growing families, or a spare bed for sleepovers and visiting grandkids.
Sleeps up to three
A single on top and a full double below — ideal for siblings sharing, sleepovers, or simply giving a child a bigger bed to grow into.
Solid rubberwood frame
A sturdy rubberwood structure delivers the stability bunk beds demand, with central support legs steadying the double base.
Built-in guard rail & ladder
A full-length guard rail and an integrated, angled ladder make the top bunk easy and secure to climb in and out of.
Works with your mattress
Two mattresses, two jobs to get right
The Neves needs one standard Single mattress for the top bunk and one standard Double mattress for the bottom — both sold separately. A slimmer profile mattress is best up top, so the guard rail sits well clear of the sleeping surface.
Mattress not included
Sold as the frame only. Choose your size, then pair a standard Australian mattress of the same size. See mattress options →
Buy the matching size
Each frame fits a standard AU mattress of the same name — a Queen frame takes a 153 × 203 cm Queen mattress. The full size chart is in Dimensions.
Slat base, no box spring
The wooden slat base with centre support bar holds the mattress directly — no box spring or extra foundation needed. Works with foam, hybrid and spring mattresses.
Slat base & mattress support
Slat base included — suited to spring mattresses, and supports most foam and hybrid mattresses too. If you're matching a specific foam or hybrid mattress, check the slat spacing with our team before ordering, since some foam-mattress warranties require gaps under ~7.5 cm.

DimensionsWill it fit your room?
| Overall footprint (L × W × H) | 225 × 150 × 170 cm |
|---|---|
| Top bunk weight rating | 100 kg |
| Bottom double weight rating | 200 kg |
| Cartons (boxed) | 3 boxes — 105×55×15, 150×75×15 & 205×30×15 cm |
Measure your access route and check the boxes fit your vehicle for pickup or delivery. A screwdriver is needed (electric drill recommended); two people recommended for assembly. Measurements are taken by hand and can vary slightly between shipments.
📦Ships flat-packed
Cartons clear a standard ~80 cm doorway even when the assembled piece is large. Still worth measuring for the bigger sizes.
🧭Room clearance
Allow 60–75 cm around the piece to move comfortably; remember the frame footprint runs a few cm larger than the mattress.
📐Total height
Total height = base + your mattress, so a tall base plus a deep mattress can sit high — worth checking for getting in and out.
🚙Pickup vehicle
For free Rocklea pickup, a flat-pack fits most cars, but an assembled or oversized item needs a van, ute or trailer.

Care instructions
Wipe clean
Dust regularly and wipe marks away with a soft, barely-damp cloth. Avoid harsh solvents and abrasive cleaners, which can dull the timber finish.
Check the fittings
Re-check and gently re-tighten the bolts and connectors now and then — especially in the first few weeks and after any move — to keep the frame solid.
Bunk bed safety
Using it safely
Bunk beds sold in Australia are covered by a mandatory safety standard. A few simple habits keep the top bunk safe night after night — this follows the ACCC's own bunk bed safety guidance.
- Age guidance
- The top bunk isn't recommended for children under 9 years old, though suitability also depends on a child's maturity and development.
- Mattress height
- Use a mattress within the maximum height marked on the upper bunk, so the guard rail stays high enough above the sleeping surface to be effective.
- Assembly
- Follow the supplied instructions, make sure the guard rails are securely fitted, and check connections and fasteners regularly.
- Placement
- Position the bed clear of blind and curtain cords, heaters, lights and ceiling fans.
- Ladder use
- Remove or block the ladder when the bunk isn't in use so younger children aren't tempted to climb up, and don't let children jump or play on the bed.
For the full guidance, read the ACCC's bunk beds safety guide.

Full detailsNeves Single Over Double Bunk Bed — full product details
Sleeping three in the footprint of one is what makes a bunk bed valuable in a shared kids room, and the Neves Single Over Double Bunk Bed does it with a proper double underneath rather than a second single — enough room for an older child, a parent perched for bedtime stories, or a sleepover guest. Built on a solid rubberwood frame and finished in a versatile grey, its classic tongue-and-groove panelled headboards give it a soft, cottage-meets-coastal look that settles into almost any bedroom scheme and grows with the room from the early years through to the teens.
Safety is built in from the start: a full-length guard rail and an angled, easy-grip ladder come as standard, and central support legs steady the double base below. The top bunk is rated to 100kg and the bottom double to 200kg. As with every bunk bed sold in Australia, the top bunk isn't recommended for children under 9, and the guard rail, ladder and fastener checks matter — see the full ACCC bunk beds safety guide for details.
The Neves needs two mattresses, sold separately — a standard Single for the top bunk and a standard Double for the bottom. Browse our Mattress-in-a-Box, pocket spring and memory foam ranges. Professional assembly is available as an add-on given the extra care a bunk bed's guard rail and ladder need.
