The Leone End Table is a compact square side table built from rubberwood with a veneered top, finished in a rich dark coco brown. Four cleanly tapered legs sit under a square top in a classic Shaker silhouette, and the whole piece comes together without any tools beyond the hardware supplied in the box. At 40 × 37 × 43 cm it slots neatly beside a sofa, an armchair or a bed without crowding the floor.

Where does a 43 cm table work?
Side tables come at two heights, and they do different jobs. Tall ones (55–65 cm) match your sofa arm. This one is deliberately lower — at 43 cm it matches your sofa seat.
- It matches the seat, not the arm. At 43 cm the top lands level with a typical 40–50 cm sofa cushion. Beside a standard sofa it will sit noticeably below the armrest — that's by design, not a mistake.
- Best beside low-arm, armless or occasional seating. Think a low-profile sofa, an armchair, a reading chair or the end of a bed, where a tall table would look out of proportion.
- Measure the seat, not the arm. Floor to the top of your seat cushion — if that's roughly 40–50 cm, this lands right. If your sofa has tall arms and you want a table level with them, choose one of our 55–60 cm end tables instead.
The Leone's fit: a 40 × 37 cm square top at 43 cm high. Small enough to slot between a sofa and a wall, into a tight corner, or beside a bed in a smaller room — the footprint keeps the surrounding floor feeling open. It takes a lamp, a mug and a book comfortably; it isn't intended to carry a television or a heavy stack.

Rubberwood is a dense, fine-grained hardwood — it does the structural work in the frame and legs, while the top carries a timber veneer for an even, consistent surface. We'd call that a hardwood-based build rather than a solid timber table, because the top is veneered and we'd rather be precise about it. It's still a step up from the MDF-topped pieces at this price.
Caring for your side table
Dust regularly
A soft dry cloth lifts dust gently and preserves the finish. A weekly wipe keeps the surface looking even.
Skip wet cloths
For spills, blot with a dry or barely-damp cloth and dry off straight away. Standing water can leave faint marks on a timber surface.
Use coasters & mats
Coasters under hot mugs and drinks, felt pads under lamps. Moisture rings and heat mark timber finishes over time.
Keep out of direct sun
Position away from prolonged direct sunlight so the dark coco finish doesn't fade or dry unevenly.
