The A2Z Furniture Pty Ltd and its staff accept no liability for any accidental damage to the customer’s property that may occur while bringing goods inside or during assembly.
It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure the pathway for delivering the goods is clear and unobstructed. Additional charges may apply if extra work is required to clear access.
To assess whether the assembly can be carried out safely and efficiently, The A2Z Furniture may request further information about the property, including photos or video of the layout.
If the product cannot be delivered to the intended room due to insufficient space, the delivery and assembly charges are non-refundable.
The A2Z Furniture reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to decline or cancel the assembly service. Where this occurs, any assembly fee already paid will be refunded in full.
Overview
A sculptural base, in soft grey and gold
The Dunhill is built around its base: two interlocking oval rings of bundled gold tubes, crossing beneath a 2 m top and seated on a cream-grey gloss plinth. The top is dark smoked tempered glass framed by a cream-grey edge band, so the table reads light at the edges and deep in the centre. At 200 × 100 cm it seats six comfortably and eight with the ends in use.
Interlocking Gold Ring Base
Two oval rings of bundled, polished gold tubes cross beneath the top and seat on a flat gloss plinth. It's a single central base rather than four corner legs, so no leg sits in front of a place setting down the long sides.
Tempered Safety Glass
Heat-treated to be several times stronger than ordinary glass, and made to crumble into small blunt granules rather than sharp shards in the rare event it breaks. It is not shatterproof, and we won't say it is.
Cream-Grey Edge & Plinth
A soft cream-grey band frames the dark glass and the same tone is used on the plinth, so the top and the foot match and the gold carries the contrast. It sits well in pale, warm-neutral rooms where an all-black table would feel heavy.

Three settings down each side at the Australian 60 cm per person, plus a chair at each end when you need eight. The full metre of width leaves a genuine centre run for platters and serving boards.

How many it seats, and the room it needs
A dining table is the one piece people most often buy too big for the room. Three checks settle it — how many it really seats, how much floor it needs, and whether your chairs fit underneath. Here's how the Dunhill's 200 × 100 cm top measures up against the Australian rules of thumb.
- Allow 60 cm of table edge per person. At 200 cm long, that's 3 settings down each side — six in total. Adding a chair at each end takes it to eight. Six is the everyday number; eight works for a full table.
- Leave 90 cm clear on every side. That's the Australian standard for pulling a chair out and walking behind it. Add 180 cm to each of the table's dimensions and you get the minimum room: about 3.8 × 2.8 m. If the table sits near a kitchen walkway, aim for 105–120 cm of clearance instead — roughly 4.1 × 3.1 m.
- Check your chair seat height. Most dining tables sit at 71–76 cm, and a chair with a 45–48 cm seat height gives comfortable knee room at that height. We're confirming this table's exact height with our supplier — call 07 3161 5415 and we'll measure the floor model for you.
- Plan the delivery path, not just the room. It ships flat-packed, so getting the cartons in is straightforward — but the glass top is heavy and once built it's 200 cm long and won't turn a tight corner. Build it in the room it's staying in.

Chairs, and what goes on top
Grey, cream and gold is a soft, formal palette. Upholstered chairs in cream, oatmeal, taupe or soft grey let the gold base stay the feature; velvet in sage or blush adds colour without fighting it. Chairs with gold-toned legs echo the rings. Keep the centrepiece low so the sightline across the glass stays open.

A pale gloss plinth shows scuffs from shoes and chair legs more than a dark one — a soft, barely damp cloth keeps it clean. Wipe the gold rings with a dry cloth only; glass cleaner and abrasives dull the finish.
Caring for your table
Clean with glass cleaner
A microfibre cloth and a standard glass cleaner keeps the top clear. Spray the cloth rather than the glass so cleaner doesn't run into the joins with the base.
Mats under hot and heavy
Tempered glass handles daily use well, but use trivets under hot dishes and coasters under drinks — thermal shock and ground-in grit are what damage a glass top over time.
Mind the edges and corners
Tempered glass is strong across its face but vulnerable at the edges. Avoid knocking the rim with hard objects, and don't drag heavy items on and off over the edge.
Wipe the base separately
The base takes a soft, barely damp cloth — not glass cleaner. Skip abrasive scourers and harsh chemicals, which dull lacquered and metal finishes.

The table travels flat-packed, so doorways and stairs are rarely a problem; add assembly above if you'd like it built in the room on delivery.
