The chairs are a solid rubberwood frame with an MDF-core seat, upholstered in black PU faux leather. - "5 piece" means one table and 4 chairs. Four, comfortably — the table's own listing says so, and four chairs are supplied. We would rather set that out now than have you count places after it arrives.
- Leave 90 cm clear on every side. That is the Australian standard for pulling a chair out and walking behind it. Add 180 cm to each of the table's dimensions and you get the minimum room: about 2.8 × 2.8 m. If the set sits near a kitchen walkway, aim for 105–120 cm of clearance instead — roughly 3.2 × 3.2 m.
- We can actually publish this one. The table stands 77 cm and the Dixon Dining Chair has a confirmed 46 cm seat height, giving a real knee clearance of 31 cm — comfortably inside the usual dining range. This is one of the few sets on our site where both numbers are confirmed rather than estimated.
- The chairs tuck, the backs stand clear. Each chair is 45 cm wide and 49 cm deep, so they sit along the table at the standard 60 cm-per-person spacing. The seats slide under the top; the 96 cm backs stand above it, so measure your walkway to the chair backs rather than to the table edge.
- Measure the doorway, not just the room. The table ships flat-packed, so getting it in is easy — but once built it is 100 cm long and will not turn a tight corner. Build it in the room it is staying in.

Caring for your set
Dust the painted timber
Wipe the tabletop and pedestal weekly with a soft, dry microfibre cloth. A painted black surface shows dust more visibly than natural timber, so quick regular passes keep it looking sharp.
Spot-clean spills promptly
Wipe spills immediately with a damp cloth and dry with a clean towel on the table. Avoid letting water rings or spills sit, which can mark the painted finish. Skip abrasive cleaners.
Clean the PU seats
Wipe the faux leather with a damp cloth and dry it off. Skip solvents, bleach and alcohol wipes — they dry PU out and it eventually cracks. Keep sharp objects and pet claws off the seat surface.
Keep out of direct sunlight
Prolonged UV exposure can fade or chalk the table's painted finish and dry out the chairs' PU upholstery over time — position the set out of direct sun where possible.
Use coasters and placemats
Use coasters under glasses, placemats under hot plates, and a tablecloth for serious meal prep. The painted finish can mark from heat, prolonged moisture, or sharp items dragged across it.
Check the chair fittings
Chair joints loosen with everyday use — every few months, check the legs and hand-tighten anything that has worked loose. It is the single best thing you can do for a dining chair's lifespan.

Delivery cost is calculated by item and distance — enter your details in the estimator above, or at checkout. Delivery is to ground level / front garage only. The set travels as multiple cartons on one delivery, all of them flat or boxed, so doorways and stairs are rarely a problem. Add set assembly above if you'd like it handled in the room on delivery.
Collect free from our Rocklea distribution warehouse by appointment. Plan for a long flat table carton plus a box per chair — that needs a van, a large trailer or two trips in a ute. Our supplier doesn't list the carton sizes, so call 07 3161 5415 before you come and we'll measure them for you. Bring your order confirmation and photo ID.
