Overview

A glamour dining chair with real presence

The Daisy Chair is a striking cantilever-style dining chair upholstered in black PU leather over a golden chromed metal base, sold per chair. It's a bigger, more substantial chair than most in our range — 102 cm tall with a deeper footprint front-to-back — built to make a statement at the head of a glass or marble-top table. At $199 a chair it's an easy way to lift a dining setting without a full furniture change, and if you'd rather not build it yourself, add assembly for $20 a chair and we'll do it on delivery.

Black PU Leather Seat

The seat and back are upholstered in black PU (faux) leather over an MDF seat pan, giving a smooth, supple feel and a wipe-clean surface for everyday dining.

Golden Chromed Base

The curved cantilever base is a golden chromed metal finish — a lustrous, reflective accent that sets the Daisy apart from the usual timber-legged dining chair.

A Bigger, More Substantial Chair

At 102 cm tall and 55 cm deep, the Daisy has a larger footprint than most chairs in our range — a deeper chair footprint than most, worth allowing for in a tighter dining room.

Straightforward Assembly

The chair arrives nearly ready to use — a screwdriver (electric drill recommended) is all you need to secure the components in a few minutes.

Will it fit?

Will it fit your table — and how many do you need?

A dining chair is bought blind more often than any other seat — most stores don't even tell you the seat height. Our supplier spec sheet for the Daisy gives overall dimensions rather than a separate seat-height figure, so here's what we can tell you honestly, plus the Australian rules of thumb for the rest.

Dining sizing guide: allow 60 cm of table edge per person, leave at least 90 cm of clear floor on every side, pair a 71 to 78 cm high table with chairs of 45 to 48 cm seat height for 25 to 30 cm of knee room, and a table-length-to-seats ready reckoner from 120 cm seating four up to 270 cm seating ten.
102 cmOverall height — this is a substantial, upright chair.
55 cmOverall depth — a deeper chair footprint than most in our range, not a seat-pan measurement.
44 cmChair width — close to the 60 cm of table edge each diner needs.
  • Seat height isn't on our supplier spec sheet for this chair. We won't quote a number we can't stand behind. As a general Australian guide, most dining tables sit 71–78 cm high and want a chair with 25–30 cm of knee clearance underneath. Call our showroom team on 07 3161 5415 before you order if seat height is a deciding factor — better yet, try the Daisy in person against your table.
  • Count roughly 60 cm of table edge per chair. At 44 cm wide the Daisy sits close to the standard spacing: a 150 cm table takes four to six, and a 180–200 cm table seats six to eight. Buying for a six-seater? You need six chairs — set the quantity above.
  • Allow for a bigger chair. At 102 cm tall and 55 cm deep overall, the Daisy is a more substantial chair than most in our dining range — worth checking against your room and table height before you buy, particularly if space around the table is tight.
  • Cantilever base, no arms. The curved metal base has no armrests to catch on a table apron, so the chair tucks in cleanly between meals.

Not sure? Measure your table height and call our showroom team on 07 3161 5415 — we'll check the fit against your table before you order, and you can try the Daisy in person in our showrooms.

Styling

What it pairs with

The Daisy's black-and-gold palette is built for a glamour dining setting — pair it with a marble or glass-top table on a matching black-and-gold base, like the Diamond or Delta Black & Gold, for a fully coordinated look. Prefer a softer, more neutral table? The round Daliya still lets the chair's gold base do the talking. Keep the rest of the room's metal tones (light fittings, mirror frames) in the same warm-gold family for a cohesive finish.

Materials & care

Base

Warranty

PU is a faux leather: it gives the leather look at a fraction of the price and wipes clean easily, but it doesn't wear like genuine hide — keep it out of harsh sun and away from sharp edges and it will look right for years. The golden chromed finish is a plated coating over metal, not solid gold — treat it gently to keep the shine. Swatch colours on screen are approximate; we recommend seeing the finish in a showroom before you buy.

Caring for your chairs

🧽

Wipe the PU after meals

A damp cloth is all the black PU seat needs — spills, sauce and little fingerprints wipe straight off. Skip harsh solvents and abrasive scourers, which dull and crack PU over time.

Dust the chromed base

A soft, dry microfibre cloth keeps the golden chromed base gleaming. Avoid abrasive cleaners or scouring pads on the plated finish — they'll dull the shine.

🔩

Check the fixings twice a year

Every dining chair loosens a little with daily use. A twice-yearly once-over with the supplied hardware keeps the frame tight and silent.

☀️

Keep out of direct sun

Strong direct sunlight dries and ages PU over time. Position away from harsh sun, or close curtains during the brightest hours.

What's in the box

Nearly ready to use — screwdriver required

Each Daisy chair arrives close to assembled: the upholstered seat and back come made up on the base, and only a few fixings need securing. A screwdriver does the job; an electric drill makes it quicker. Count on a few minutes per chair — or add assembly above ($20 per chair) and our team will build every chair on delivery.

One Daisy dining chair — seat/back, base, fixings
Assembly

Single chair — order the quantity your table needs

The price is for one chair — the table and styling props are not included. Images are for illustration only; the actual product might be slightly different. We highly recommend you visit the store before the purchase.

Delivery & pickup

Two ways to get them home

Delivery cost is calculated by item and distance — enter your details in the estimator above, or at checkout. Delivery is to ground level / front garage only. Chairs travel nearly assembled in compact cartons, so stairs and doorways are rarely a problem; add assembly above if you'd like them built on delivery.

Collect free from our Rocklea distribution warehouse by appointment. Given the Daisy's larger footprint, an SUV or wagon is the safer bet for more than a couple of chairs. Bring your order confirmation and photo ID. For full terms, see our Pickup & Delivery Terms.

Change-of-mind returns are accepted under our Return Policy; full conditions apply.

FAQ

Common questions

Most likely, if your table is a standard Australian height (71–78 cm). One chair. Set the quantity to match your table — four for a smaller table, six to eight for a larger one. Ordering singles also means you can replace or add a chair later without buying a whole set.

Any table where a black-and-gold accent works. The closest matches in our own range are the black-and-gold Diamond and Delta dining tables; the round Daliya also pairs well if you'd prefer a more neutral table with the gold coming through in the chairs.

The Daisy Chair is a glamour-style dining chair upholstered in black PU leather over an MDF seat pan, set on a golden chromed metal cantilever base. It measures 44 cm wide, 55 cm deep and 102 cm tall overall — a bigger, more substantial chair than most in our dining range — and is sold per chair, so you can order exactly the number your table needs.

Seat height isn't broken out on our supplier spec sheet for this chair, so we don't quote a separate figure — as a general Australian guide, most dining tables sit 71–78 cm high and want 25–30 cm of knee clearance under the seat. At 44 cm wide the Daisy sits close to the standard 60 cm of table edge per diner. The base is a curved cantilever design with no armrests, so the chair tucks in cleanly between meals.

The chair arrives nearly assembled; a screwdriver secures the remaining fixings (an electric drill is quicker), or add in-home assembly for $20 per chair. It carries a 1-year warranty. Images are for illustration only; the actual product might be slightly different — we highly recommend you visit the store before the purchase. Pair it with the black-and-gold Diamond or Delta dining tables, or browse all dining chairs.
