If the product cannot be delivered to the intended room due to insufficient space, the delivery and assembly charges are non-refundable.

Slat base, no box spring
The wooden slat base with centre support bar holds the mattress directly — no box spring or extra foundation needed. Works with foam, hybrid and spring mattresses.

Slat base included — suited to spring mattresses, and supports most foam and hybrid mattresses too. If you're matching a specific foam or hybrid mattress, check the slat spacing with our team before ordering, since some foam-mattress warranties require gaps under ~7.5 cm.

Cartons clear a standard ~80 cm doorway even when the assembled piece is large. Still worth measuring for the bigger sizes.

Allow 60–75 cm around the piece to move comfortably; remember the frame footprint runs a few cm larger than the mattress.

Total height = base + your mattress, so a tall base plus a deep mattress can sit high — worth checking for getting in and out.

Care instructions
Dust the reeded insert carefully
Use a soft brush or dry microfibre cloth along the reeded grooves of the central headboard insert — the vertical lines collect more dust than flat surfaces.
Damp, never wet on the veneer
Dry spills immediately. Standing water can damage the veneered surfaces and lift the Haliton finish over time.
Care for the gold inlay accents
Wipe the gold metallic inlay strips with a dry soft cloth only — avoid abrasive cleaners or scouring pads that can dull the metallic finish over time.

The upper mattress platform sits on a recessed inner base — set back from the side and end edges by a small distance, so from across the room you see the mattress platform overhanging the recessed base below. The shadow line under the platform creates the visual illusion that the bed is hovering. Worth knowing: the base is a solid plinth (not open legs), so floor access underneath the main footprint is the same as any other plinth-base bed.
Hybrid construction. The structural elements (frame, recessed base, side rails) are solid rubberwood. The decorative panels (the nested headboard frames, reeded central insert, footboard panels) are timber veneer over MDF. Both finished in the same Haliton Brown stain so the bed reads as one continuous piece — MDF stays dimensionally stable across the wide panel surfaces where solid timber would expand and contract.
