The Cape Town’s defining design move is the unbroken reeded surface. Fine vertical grooves run floor-to-cap across the entire headboard — no central panel, no flanking accents, just one continuous architectural texture. The tall matching footboard at the foot end carries the same continuous reeding, tying both ends of the bed together visually. How It's Built

The Cape Town uses hybrid construction. Structural elements (frame, base, side rails) are solid rubber wood; the decorative surfaces — the continuously reeded headboard and footboard panels — are timber veneer over MDF. Both stained the same Tasani Brown so the bed reads as one continuous piece. MDF stays flat and dimensionally stable across the wide reeded panels, keeping the precise vertical grooves crisp where solid timber would expand and contract with humidity.

What does "all-over reeding" actually mean?

Reeding is the pattern of fine vertical grooves running across a timber surface — like very narrow parallel channels milled into the panel. On the Cape Town, the reeding covers the entire visible surface of the headboard (floor to cap) and the entire visible surface of the matching footboard. There’s no flat central panel, no border framing, no accent zones — just one continuous reeded texture from edge to edge. The pattern catches light and shadow as you move around the room, giving the dark stain real visual depth.

What does Tasani Brown look like up close?

You can order online and pick up for free from our Rocklea Distribution Warehouse at 48 Randolph St, Rocklea QLD 4106, but only by appointment. Call 07 3161 5415 to arrange pickup, and bring your order confirmation email and photo ID to the store.

If you paid by credit card, the cardholder must be there with photo ID to verify details.

Note that when using POLI Internet Banking, goods can be picked up or delivered only after funds are received in our Bank Account. We'll email you about this.

If someone else is picking up for you, contact us beforehand, or you won't get your goods.

Your eligible items are dispatched from our Rocklea warehouse, typically within 3 to 7 working days, depending on stock availability. Delivery is to ground level or front garage only — the driver will not bring goods inside, take them upstairs or unpack them. If you'd like assembly or in-home placement, you can add this at checkout under our Assembly Terms.

  • Available for outright payments only (No Payment Plan, Layby).
  • Only available for addresses that are less than 10 km from our Rocklea Warehouse. The distance is determined using Google Maps.
  • Delivery is strict till the garage / ground floor. The driver will not take it inside, upstairs or unpack the goods.
  • The standard delivery time frame is within 3 to 7 working days, and there might be delays depending on stock availability.
  • The delivery driver may call you from a private number before delivery; if the customer does not answer the phone, the driver will not attempt delivery unless instructed to leave goods at the property.
  • The A2Z Furniture has complete discretion to change any policy aspect without prior notice.
