It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure the pathway for delivering the goods is clear and unobstructed. Additional charges may apply if extra work is required to clear access.
To assess whether the assembly can be carried out safely and efficiently, The A2Z Furniture may request further information about the property, including photos or video of the layout.
If the product cannot be delivered to the intended room due to insufficient space, the delivery and assembly charges are non-refundable.
The A2Z Furniture reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to decline or cancel the assembly service. Where this occurs, any assembly fee already paid will be refunded in full.
Overview
A bookcase headboard with lights built in
The Camira is one of the most feature-rich storage beds in our range. The headboard is a full bookcase with open cubby compartments for books and decor on the outer ends, two stacked pull-out drawers in the centre for items you'd rather keep out of sight, integrated lighting inside the compartments, and a decorative fluted top band running the full width. Two more pull-out drawers sit at the foot of the bed. Constructed in MDF with a smooth contemporary finish, available in White or Black, in Queen or King.

Slat base, no box spring
The wooden slat base with centre support bar holds the mattress directly — no box spring or extra foundation needed. Works with foam, hybrid and spring mattresses.
Slat base & mattress support
Slat base included — suited to spring mattresses, and supports most foam and hybrid mattresses too. If you're matching a specific foam or hybrid mattress, check the slat spacing with our team before ordering, since some foam-mattress warranties require gaps under ~7.5 cm.

Total height = slat height (35 cm) + your mattress depth. Ships flat-packed in 3 boxes; measure your access route and check the boxes fit your vehicle for pickup. A screwdriver is needed (electric drill recommended); two people recommended — the bookcase headboard is a substantial structure. ↔️Drawer at the foot
Keep clear floor at the foot of the bed for the drawer; the castors need a clear path, so lift any rugs out of the way.
📦Ships flat-packed
Cartons clear a standard ~80 cm doorway even when the assembled piece is large. Still worth measuring for the bigger sizes.
🧭Room clearance
Allow 60–75 cm around the piece to move comfortably; remember the frame footprint runs a few cm larger than the mattress.
🚙Pickup vehicle
For free Rocklea pickup, a flat-pack fits most cars, but an assembled or oversized item needs a van, ute or trailer.

Care instructions
Wipe surfaces gently
Use a soft dry or barely-damp cloth across all laminate surfaces. The bookcase cubbies, fluted top band and headboard drawer fronts benefit from a quick weekly wipe.
No standing water on the laminate
Dry spills immediately. Standing water can seep into laminate seams over time and cause swelling at the edges, particularly in the open cubby compartments.
Use coasters and plant saucers
If placing drinks or plants on the cubby shelves or fluted top band, use coasters and waterproof saucers. Ring marks are especially visible on white laminate.
Operate lights as instructed
Follow the instruction manual for switching the headboard lights on and off, and for bulb replacements. Don't expose the light fittings to moisture.

The Camira is available in Queen and King sizes. Single, King Single and Double are not available for this bed. No mattress is included.

The Camira packs more functional storage into a single bed than anything else in our range. Open cubbies for visible display storage sit on the outer ends of the headboard, two stacked pull-out drawers in the centre hide items you'd rather keep out of sight, integrated lighting inside the compartments means you don't need separate bedside lamps, and two more drawers at the footboard add off-season and bulk storage. Combined with a decorative fluted top band, that's a lot of storage and lighting built into one bed frame.
The construction is MDF (medium-density fibreboard) with a smooth laminate finish in either White or Black — worth disclosing clearly since some buyers assume any bedroom furniture is solid timber by default. MDF with laminate suits this design specifically: the clean lines, sharp fluted top detail and crisp painted finish are suited to MDF construction in a way solid timber wouldn't match, and it keeps the price meaningfully below what a solid-timber version of this design would cost.
