A bed is two purchases that have to agree with each other, and the agreement is where it usually goes wrong — a frame arrives one week, a mattress the next, and one of them is the wrong size. A bed and mattress package removes that risk: the frame and the mattress are pinned to the same size before the listing goes live, and they arrive together.

We stock packages in every Australian standard size, from single beds for a kid's room through to king beds for a main bedroom. Because we import directly and warehouse locally at Rocklea, the pairing is checked in our own building rather than assembled from two suppliers' catalogues.

How a bed and mattress package works

Each package is a single product made of two real items — one bed frame and one mattress, both pinned to the same size. You choose the colour once and both pieces follow, so a frame in one size and a mattress in another is simply not something you can order by mistake.

Because it is one order, it is one delivery booking and one assembly booking rather than two, and the frame and mattress arrive on the same run. Every package page lists exactly what is in the box and links through to both components' own product pages, so you can read the full specification of the frame and the mattress before you commit.

• Sized to match — the mattress is the Australian standard size the frame is built to take, checked before the package is listed.
• One delivery — both pieces ship together, so there is no waiting for the second half of the bed.

Choosing the mattress in your package

The frame decides how the bed looks; the mattress decides how you sleep. A few things are worth thinking about before you pick a package:

Firmness and how you sleep

Side sleepers generally want more give through the shoulder and hip, so a softer or pillow-top feel usually suits them better. Back and stomach sleepers tend to be more comfortable on a firmer surface that keeps the spine level. If two people share the bed and disagree, a medium feel with good zoning is the usual compromise — and going up a size buys more peace than any firmness change will.

Support type

Bonnell and pocket-spring mattresses move air through the bed and sleep cooler, which matters in a Queensland summer. Pocket springs are independently wrapped, so one person turning over is far less noticeable on the other side. Memory foam and foam-comfort layers contour closely and absorb movement, which suits lighter sleepers and anyone with pressure-point pain. Storage, gas-lift and slat bases

If the frame in your package has drawers or a gas-lift base, the mattress sits on a solid or slatted platform designed for it — nothing extra is needed. Whatever the base, keep the mattress on a supportive, evenly-spaced surface; sagging support is the fastest way to shorten the life of a good mattress and it is the most common reason a warranty claim gets knocked back.

Delivery, pickup and assembly

We hold our own stock at our Rocklea warehouse in Brisbane, so what shows as in stock is stock we can move. Because the frame and the mattress travel together, a package is one delivery run rather than two separate waits.

• Free local delivery on eligible items to addresses within 10 km of our Rocklea warehouse (measured via Google Maps). Where the address and the product both qualify, it is applied automatically at checkout. Full terms.
• Outside the 10 km zone we deliver across South-East Queensland and beyond at competitive freight rates — enter your address in the estimator on any package page for a quote on your postcode.
• Free local delivery is for outright payments only. Orders placed on a payment plan or Layby are quoted freight at the normal rate.
• What delivery includes — eligible orders are dispatched from Rocklea, typically within 3 to 7 working days depending on stock. Delivery is to ground level or front garage only; the driver does not bring goods inside, take them upstairs or unpack them.
• Free warehouse pickup from Rocklea by appointment if you would rather collect. Check the carton sizes listed on the package page against your vehicle first.
• Professional assembly for the bed frame can be added at checkout. The mattress needs none.
