Bedside Tables in Brisbane & the Gold Coast
A bedside table is small, but it earns its place every day — somewhere for the lamp, the phone on charge, your book and a glass of water, plus a little balance beside the bed. At A2Z we stock bedside tables to suit every room and budget, from a single compact unit for a tight space to a matching pair for the master bedroom. Because we import direct and hold most stock locally, you can have yours sooner rather than waiting weeks on an interstate order.

Whatever the room, there's a finish and format to match:
With Drawers
One, two or three drawers keep chargers, books and personal items out of sight — the most practical everyday choice.
White & Light
Bright and versatile, white bedside tables suit Scandi, coastal and Hamptons-style bedrooms and lift a smaller room.
Black & Dark
Bold contrast for modern, industrial or moody schemes — an easy way to anchor a lighter bed and bedding.
Narrow & Compact
Slim profiles around 40–45 cm wide slot into tight spaces without crowding the walkway beside the bed.
Open-Shelf
Display books, a plant or your current read on an open shelf while keeping the top clear for a lamp.

How to Choose a Bedside Table
1. Match the height to your mattress. Aim for a tabletop roughly level with the top of your mattress — usually 55–70 cm for standard Australian beds — so reaching for water, your phone or a lamp is comfortable. For a low-profile or platform bed frame, choose a shorter table; for a higher base, go taller.
2. Measure the space. Leave 5–10 cm between the table and any wall, wardrobe or doorway. In tighter rooms, a narrow table (40–45 cm wide) keeps the walkway clear.
3. Decide on storage. If you like a clutter-free surface, choose drawers to hide chargers and books; open shelves are better for displaying décor or your current read.
4. Coordinate, don't necessarily match. Bedside tables don't have to match the bed exactly — sharing a timber tone, finish or colour family is enough. A bedroom suite takes the guesswork out, or mix and match from our bedroom storage range.
5. Pairs vs singles. A matching pair brings symmetry to a master bedroom with a queen or king bed; for a kids' room or single bed, one is usually plenty.
Complete the Bedroom
A bedside table is the finishing touch — pair it with coordinating pieces from across our range: bed frames in every size and material, mattresses (see the mattress buying guide), tallboys & chests of drawers, dressers with mirror, and ready-matched bedroom suites for a cohesive look. For a child's room, our kids beds pair with compact, sturdy bedsides.

Bedside Table FAQs
What height should a bedside table be?
Aim for a tabletop level with the top of your mattress, or up to 5–10 cm below — for most Australian beds that's 55–70 cm tall. It keeps water, glasses or your phone within easy reach when you're lying down.
Do your bedside tables come assembled?
Most arrive flat-packed with clear instructions and go together in about 15–30 minutes with basic tools. A professional assembly service is available if you'd prefer — just ask our team when you order.
Can I buy bedside tables as a pair?
Yes. Most are sold individually, so you can buy two of the same model for a matching pair. Some bedroom suites include bedside tables as part of a coordinated set.
What materials are your bedside tables made from?
The range includes solid timber, engineered wood with veneer or painted finishes, and modern mixed-material designs. For natural timber specifically, see our wooden bedside tables. Each product page lists the exact materials and dimensions.
Do bedside tables need to match my bed frame?
Not necessarily. Matching tones create a cohesive look, but intentionally mixed bedsides (same height, different style) can add personality. The key is sharing at least one design element — a timber tone, finish or complementary colour.
Do you deliver bedside tables across South-East Queensland?
Yes — free local delivery within about 10 km of our Rocklea warehouse, with paid delivery to greater Brisbane, the Gold Coast, Ipswich, Logan, the Sunshine Coast and Toowoomba. Free pickup from Rocklea is available by appointment.
Can I use Afterpay or Zip for bedside tables?
Yes. We accept Afterpay, Zip, Humm and Latitude, and offer layby (25% deposit, up to 90 days) across the range, including bedside tables.
