Overview
A Scandi TV unit with fully closed cabinet storage
The Manuka TV Unit is the largest piece in the 3-part Manuka range — a 180 cm cabinet built from particle board with a warm oak-look top, finished off with gold-finish accents on the legs and T-shaped handles. Four cabinet-style compartments sit behind embossed pearl white doors with a vertical ribbed texture, giving fully closed storage with no open shelving to dust or tidy. It is a clean, Scandi-inspired centrepiece that keeps AV gear, remotes and everyday clutter out of sight.
Four Closed Cabinet Doors
Four cabinet-style compartments run the full width of the unit, each behind an embossed pearl white door — fully closed storage with no open shelving on display.
Vertical Ribbed Texture
Each pearl white door carries a subtle vertical ribbed texture that catches the light and adds depth without breaking the clean Scandi look.
Gold-Finish Handles & Legs
Slim T-shaped gold-finish handles and matching gold-finish legs lift the pearl white cabinet visually and warm up the overall colour story.
Warm Oak-Look Top
A warm oak-look top surface sits above the pearl white cabinet, balancing the crisp white doors with a natural wood-tone finish.
Will your TV fit?
Sizing your television to a 180 cm unit
The usual guidance is to leave around 20 cm of unit wider than the television — roughly 10 cm each side — so the screen looks balanced and the feet or pedestal sit safely on the top rather than near the edge. On a 180 cm unit that puts the comfortable ceiling at about a 70″ screen.

The Manuka’s fit: at 180 cm wide, comfortably suits a TV up to 70″.
- Recommended maximum
- A television up to 70″
- Top surface
- 180 cm wide × 40 cm deep
- Weight guideline
- Up to 30 kg on the top surface
- Height to screen
- Top sits 55 cm off the floor
This is a derived guideline, not a tested specification. A larger screen can still work if its feet or pedestal sit fully within the 180 × 40 cm top — measure the distance between your television’s feet before ordering, as this varies a lot between brands. Keep the combined weight of your television and any soundbar under the 30 kg guideline for the particle board top, and spread heavier items across the surface rather than concentrating them at one point. A wall-mounted television removes the question entirely. Always secure your television with an anchor device.
Check the TV unit’s own footprint too, not just the width. Check the leg spacing and overall footprint against your television’s own specification sheet before ordering, especially if your television has an unusually wide or off-centre pedestal stand. Not sure? Call us on 07 3161 5415, or read our TV unit size guide.

Safety
Anchor the television — it matters
Entertainment units are covered by Australia’s mandatory toppling-furniture information standard at any height, because a television is heavy, top-sitting and tempting for a child to pull on. Anchoring hardware is inexpensive, sold at any hardware store, and takes only minutes to fit.
- ALWAYS secure your television with an anchor device.
- NEVER allow children to stand, climb or hang on drawers, doors, or shelves.

Caring for a laminated particle board finish
Dust the pearl white doors
Wipe the embossed pearl white doors weekly with a soft, dry microfibre cloth, following the ribbed texture. Skip wet cloths and harsh chemical sprays.
Polish the gold hardware
Wipe the gold-finish handles and legs with a soft, dry cloth to keep them looking fresh. Skip abrasive scourers, which can scratch the surface or dull the gold finish.
Use coasters and mats
Stand drinks, plants and warm devices on a mat so the oak-look top is not marked by rings or heat.
Keep out of direct sun
Direct sunlight over time can fade the oak-look top and yellow the pearl white doors — position the unit away from windows that get strong direct sun where you can.

FAQ
Common questions
As a guideline, a television up to 70″. The unit is 180 cm wide and the usual advice is to leave about 20 cm more unit than television, so the screen looks balanced and the feet sit safely within the top. Remember that screen size is measured diagonally, not by width. Measure the span between your television’s feet first, as it varies a lot by brand, and check it against this unit’s own footprint and leg spacing too. This is a derived guideline rather than a tested specification.
As a guideline for the particle board top, keep the combined weight of your television and any soundbar under 30 kg, and spread heavier items across the surface rather than concentrated at one point. A wall-mounted television removes the question entirely.
It arrives flat-packed in one carton and needs assembling with a screwdriver — an electric drill is recommended to speed things up. Instructions, fixings and a full instruction manual (PDF) are provided. If you would rather not build it, you can add our assembly service in the cart above.
Your television does. Entertainment units of any height are covered by Australia’s mandatory toppling-furniture information standard: children have died from furniture tipover, so always secure your television with an anchor device, and never allow children to stand, climb or hang on the cabinet doors.
Yes. The Manuka Coffee Table and Manuka End Table share the same oak-look and gold-finish colour story — see “Complete the set” above.

There are no drawers and no open shelving — every compartment is fully closed, each with its own slim T-shaped gold-finish handle, matching the gold-finish legs that lift the unit off the floor.
Size & fit
At 180 cm wide the Manuka comfortably carries a television up to 70″ as a derived guideline, leaving roughly 10 cm of clearance at each end so the screen looks balanced on the top rather than overhanging it — measure the span between your television’s feet before ordering, since pedestal and foot spacing varies widely between brands.
As a guideline for the particle board top, keep the combined weight of your television and soundbar under 30 kg. Entertainment units of any height fall under Australia’s mandatory toppling-furniture information standard, so always secure your television with an anchor device.
