"Corner lounge," "corner sofa," "corner couch" and "L-shaped sofa" all describe the same idea — a sofa shaped in an L, with two seating runs meeting at a corner. A chaise sofa is the close cousin: a sofa with one elongated seat at one end, long enough to stretch your legs out or lie back on. Many corner lounges include a chaise section, so the main difference is scale — how long the return is and how many it seats.

Choosing your chaise side (LHF / RHF)

LHF and RHF tell you which side the chaise or long return sits on, from the perspective of someone sitting on the sofa. Left Hand Facing (LHF) means the chaise extends to your left as you sit on it; Right Hand Facing (RHF) means it extends to your right. To work out which you need, stand where the lounge will go, face into the room, and decide which side you want the long chaise on.
