How the bed works
Every sofa bed in our range converts the same simple way, and you sleep on the same cushioning you sit on. Turning the lounge into a bed takes two easy steps:
- Pull the base out. The lower section slides forward from under the seat. It's upholstered in the same fabric and filled with the same cushioning as the rest of the sofa.
- Lift it up to level. Raise that pulled-out section until it sits flush at seat height, so the seat, the pulled-out base and the chaise line up as one large, even and supportive sleeping surface.
The chaise adds extra length and lounging room, and because the base extends forward you'll want clear floor space in front. It's a comfortable set-up for overnight and regular guest use, with the same padding you enjoy as a lounge during the day.

Left-hand or right-hand chaise — how to choose
Picture yourself sitting on the sofa, looking out into the room: a left-hand chaise (LHF) sits on your left, and a right-hand chaise (RHF) sits on your right. Choose the side that lets the chaise sit against a wall or into a corner, leaving the open side facing the room's traffic flow. If your TV unit is to one side, point the chaise so the lounging position faces it. Some models have a reversible chaise that can be set up on either side — the product page will say.
